Guilty is changed.. I up the speed of tames so for me a level 95 equus only took me 2 simple kibbles, the whole process before that wasn’t fun.

You need a lot more Rockettes then the dododex say you need so get a good bit before you go out trying to tame one

It is great for knocking out other dinosaurs

Crunch any carnivores around them before attempting to hop on and tame, because they WILL find the nearest raptor or carno to get themselves (and probably also you) chomped rather than allow themselves to be tamed.

Whatever u do bring more rock carrots do not listen to the game bring 27 rockcarrots they usually eat 2 at a time

They knock out stuff really well, I’ve tamed a wooly rhino and an argentavis without even needing narc arrows bc of the equus, plus they gather narc berries pretty well so you can knock out AND keep the animals asleep with just an equus

You don't need to make saddles for these to actually ride them

I was just looking for an equus on my argy and saw one I took it to the red obelisk and went back to get carrots and tamed it and didn’t even get to ride it because I had boosted rates

Make it jump so it can’t run, making it easy to remount it, up if this helped you waste an hour taming it

I haven’t tamed any Equus yet this is for taming food

I would get an iguanodon and give it a rocarrot or whatever it’s called tap it to get the seed get a medium crop plot and plant it in there after about 10 mins or something it should be a fruitling then it will give the carrots I’ve done this I have almost 3 stacks of the carrots I need to find an Equus tho which sux cause I have a hard time taming and finding stuff so I hoped it helped a bit!

Req:lvl 10, eats rockarats or however you spell em. Its secondary attk (for me LT on xbox and i believe its L2 for ps4, im not sure for pc) deals topor damage (I tamed a Trike, Pachy, Sabertooth and P.T) so i recommend for beginners i play on Ragnarok so they can be found Highlands NE. Feed a carrot before jumping on it’s back. It u jump on it’s back before feeding ya carrot, the tamping will be messed up.

I usually just drop these things in my base to tame but they will also run straight into your turrents 🥲

They are just fine to knock out some dinos of you are out of arrows but be careful

I mainly use mine for making narcotics. Super easy to just pump melee and run around with spoiled meat, gathering berries. I named mine Walter (White) because he makes me drugs hehe.

If your server or single player world has altered weight for players you can encumber the target equus when doing the riding segment of taming. This’ll stop it from running into danger. Sometimes feeding them is enough to tame them. I highly recommend making a trap for areas you find them in.

It’s best to use an Argy to drop it off into a pen or somewhere safe as these guys will run around in a panic when ridden during taming and potentially run into danger.
