Only downside is health

I would advise having preserving salts if you’re gonna use rockarrot so I doesn’t spoil as quickly

These guys spawn in plains which are near the swamp

This is a lot easier to tame than I thought it was! Step 1: with a dino that’s good at gathering berries, get some rock carrot seeds

(I suggest a Bigfoot or stego) step 2: plant and grow carrots (carrots work best but mejo berries will work as well) Step 3: sneak up to a horse and feed it with a carrot (or mejo berry) in the last slot of your hot bar. Step 4: Immediately mount it and repeat until tamed.

These things are honestly the best taming creature. Put alot of levels into DMG and theyre knock-out torpidity increases alot. Its not the fastest method, but its the cheapest. I have knocked out 80% of my tames with a lvl288 equus, fast and easy, and super cheap!

To the person asking about the carrots on the island you have to gather seeds from the same plants you get berries and then plant them in a large crop plot. Be sure to water and fertilize!

It eats troodon kibble or rockcarrot then ride every time it is going to stop and do its animation you press 0 or right on the d pad and have rockcarrot or troodon kibble there then u have your equs. ;)

Do not go near raptors on this thing

Run run run, crouch when close still approaching at an angle, when close enough,(stack of carrots in zero slot) click three “e” three times; one to feed, one to mount, one to start THE RIDE! Each time you get the feed prompt, hit “e” and pray it gets stuck in a corner and doesn’t run off a cliff, or into carnivores. Ignore everything but the prompt, hitting “e” without hesitation. (You cannot control the run at all). That’s it.

Quick tip: don’t knock them out. That’s not how you tame them

Grasslands is where they spawn. I never really wanted one, but I was looking around and I seen a white equus. Spy glassed it, popped up UNICORN. Immediately tamed😂

Pick them up with an argy and drop them in a taming pen this will make it easier. On playstation for ASA press triangle when they start bucking to feed again. If they are not bucking pressing triangle will just dismount you.

Found the Unicorn by Green on the Island. It will be all white and look like a sheep from a distance. In general, they seem to appear in groups of two or more. Move to a safe area or have an escort to clear the area of danger when taming!

For the guy who could not keep the equus in the trap, first of all, do NOT use thatch or wood. Use stone or better for the trap. Second, make sure that you put it in the trap correctly or make the trap bigger. Then make sure that it is NOT ON AGRO!!! P.s. most people are lying when they say they are knockout tame... THEY ARE NOT... THEY ARE PASSIVE! Y.w. ( your welcome)

Great tame if you pump health and melee you can knock out barys carnos and theris easy pump weight and you have mortar and pestle with unlimited space honestly just great tames can't recommend enough

These are among the easiest tames in the game if you have access to rock root or kibble. Sneak up on them, feed them and hop on. IMMEDIATELY feed it again. Now just wait for it to kick or buck and feed again. As always a taming pen makes it even easier!

On Ragnarok these are the best early game tames, here's why:

1. You don't need saddle to ride.

2. They are found almost anywhere with vegetables

23 They are passive tames and their fav food are carrots, and on Highlands you can find a bunch of carrot bushes.

4. They are fast and can jump pretty high.

5. They look cool.

Using rockarrots makes taming them really fast I’ve tamed a lot of them with only one rockarrot but sometimes it’s more.

Pump stats to speed, weight and stamina if you’re traveling with it. And just health if you’re just gonna display it on your base

Don't listen to the taming numbers. Bring twice the amount.
