It's a passive tame. Go in front of it and knock it out. Then you will realize you can't access it's inventory. So wait for it to lose its torpor and then mount it then feed him carrots. (sus)

So, I learned Recently, basically how to get Mutations and bright colors on tamed is to Inbreed. so if you didn’t know that. (on ark mobile, for me). Hope this helps.

Equus are best for speed and strong exspicalyy high lvl ones 150 is awesome

When taming look in the bottom right hand corner it will tell you when to feed it! (For Xbox use y to feed when mounted) if you trap it and it’s not calming down just knock it and wait until it’s up again to start taming!

this is also how you tame the unicorn

Okey the Easy way for taming Is pick it up with a argy and put it in a taming Cage , you can find some in the red woods

Argentavis can carry the unicorn

A good mount for travel and best to lvl is stam health and speed -warriorofthedays

Just build a small taming pen with 10 with stone Dino gates. 3x2. Grab a quetzal if u have one and drop it in there and u won’t loose it and an easy tame

Amazing for rare mushrooms on aberration

If on the Ragnorok map go to the highlands. Equus for days. Even found a unicorn!

Very good for travel. I ran around ragnarok with a lvl 26, was able to out run wolves, hyenas, yutyrannus(just), bears, carnos and rock golem with no speed or stamina upgrades. It jumps a long distance which makes it good for bumpy terrain, just be careful of fall damage.

Use the but kick to easily destroy thatch houses

Put carrots in last slot feed equus once from behind then jump on.. there's a icon on the side of the screen that will light up and let you know when to hit Y on Xbox to feed tame you keep doing that until it's yours simple tame..

TAMING

get carrots or kibble in your Last inventory Slot. Go Up to the Equus you want to tame, preferable in full ghillie. Seit in its Back and aß soon a s the Game tellls you its gettin nervous or smth. Press E. That will make it calm down.

I found a couple in west zone three when doing the tame Equus mission and I couldn’t tame it, but if you keep jumping on the Equus you can remount it easily cuz they don’t recharge their stamina

I suggest building a pen for when you do find one. Ride around on an Argy and when you see one pick it up and bring it to the pen! Then you don't have to worry about it running away and it's in a safe place!

I was trying to tame 1 of them when a level 247 spino came up 2 us and tryd to say hi and the tame was 93.4% so i got relly mad. Then i saw a nather equus and saw it get eaten by a carno
