Just find a baby and claim it after Killing its parent. Don't bother with growing it.

If timer is missing from crop plot just open and close inventory of plot. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure if this is known, but whenever you place down a totem and detonate it with 100 or more charges it damages every creature in it's radius. I'm assuming the more charges the more damage they take, more testing needs to be done.

These things are great for getting berries, buffing your animals, and getting other resources

Kill an adult - quickest way is flamethrower, grab the seed off its body. Plant the seed in a plot. Will ask you to use the following to “tend” - this is the taming. It will ask for any number of any of them throughout the process so have many prepared.

- Leech Blood

- Bio Toxin

- Sap

- Ammonite Bile

- Giant Bee Honey

- Black Pearls

If you tame Elderclaws and breed them: the seed you plant will not ask for anything and will just grow.

Do not beat him up or he'll kill you instantly.

If tending requirement item isn’t showing up but the timer started, carry a piece of fertilizer or feces and it will show.

Easy Tame. Find an adult and kill it. In its inventory will be a seed. Take the seed and put in a large crop plot or Oasisaur. Fertilizer, water, and till soil. Have in your inventory sap, black pearls, animate bile, leech blood, honey, and biotoxon. Watch the seedling it will ask for one of the above like the bug does. Feed it. It does not have to be in the last spot on ur hotbar. Stay near the seedling and do this process over and over and over. The seedling will grow to a medling and this will happen 2X. It will then become a hatchling. Hatch ur baby elderclaw. Now raise like any other baby. It eats both meat and berries and will feed off of the maeguana.

This stuff is a BEAST for fiber! Way easier than manually using a sickle. Gathers THOUSANDS IN SECONDS

When trying to gather thatch it seems best to use the root burst (C on keyboard). It gathers more wood with normal attacks.

To anyone wanting to do like i did and use an oasisaur. Build fountain then pillars then ceiling then place graden plot. That way they don't disappear when you hatch them.

If there is no timer, open inventory of crop plot then close. Timer fixed 😊

If you’re going to raise it from seedling you need to have a large crop plot, it requires 300% green house effect so you need a green house that is 2 by 4, fertilizer, all the required stuff the seedling will ask for and of course make sure it’s irrigated. In between growth spurts the seedling will ask for things back to back. It is ready to harvest when it is fruiting. You have to use the command wheel to give the stuff. I had a 135 seedling harvest out to a 207 baby. It was a fun process!

Spawns on Aberration with babies in tow at times. While tending it on Ab, it will not ask for ammonite bile. As of now, it’s also blocked on Ab from being retrieved once cryo’d (disabled dino class) so avoid doing until Wildcard fixes the issue.

Plant Elderclaw seed in large crop plot. Must be fertilized, irrigated and max greenhouse effect in order to grow. Make sure you have plenty of biotoxin, ammonite bile, leech blood, black pearls, honey and sap. Seedling wants tending every 5 min or efficiency goes down. Once it reaches fruiting, you can harvest your little Elderclaw cub by opening the menu.

For breeding they drop seeds for their egg form.

You plant it in a crop plot I used large as anyone should for crops.

It will consume a good amount of fertilizer so do not use base unless you want to babysit it constantly.

3-4 stages of growth if you want to count "fruiting" as a stage like traditional plants and takes a few ARK DAYS. When it hits this stage walk up to the gigantic bud and you can kick out the baby and claim it.

They eat MEAT and BERRIES like Direbears so it makes it easier to keep fead.

Kill the bear by any means and youll recueve a seed. Plant the seed in your crop plots/greenhouse with fertilizer and water.

However you will need to feed it cravings in the same fashion as Rhynio, thru its radial menu. Expect to feed it roughly 10 times. You have a 5minute window before taming efficiency is lost. So this is the phase that boosts levels from the previously wild dino.

It will ask for 1x of Sap, Honey, Black Pearl, Ammonite Bile, Bio Toxin.
