I don’t if somebody already said this but DO NOT GO UP IN THEIR FACE, they WILL chase you down and attempt to kill you (whether or not they kill you is based on your level and theirs)

If you are on the Astreaos Map they spawn on Lemnokis in the redwood area. Searched the entire map but thats the only place I have found them.

You need to buy the lost colony thing if you want to imprint/tame one, I learned that the hard way 😭

Wild Elderclaw egg tending timers and info while using shovel.

-first you need the 6 tend items: Sap, Giant bee Honey, black pearls, bio toxin, ammonite bile, and leech blood

-It took 19 total tends to pop. No matter lvl ( i used 15, 90, 130)

-Shovel does effect tend timer ( took timer from 5 mins to 4:07 sec)

-First 5 tends is 4:07 min then it goes mildling

-2 after mildling is no timer then 1 at 4:07 min.

-2 after that double tend time to around 8:30 min, then goes to growthling.

-Next 3 after going growthling is no timer.

-Then last 1 was 3 min timer

- Total time was 45 mins with shovel and 300% greenhouse effect

Traits do pop out of eggs on wild baby eggs. And u can see stat of the wild lvl stat on the plant.

When grown if you dont miss any timers the lvl will come out like any hand feed 100% tame effectiveness. Like my 130 came out 195. As of right now x2 event does not effect wild eggs

You CAN imprint on the babies instead of going through the seeding process

Keep an empty spot in the large plot to temd to it

Idk if anyone posted this but I will say it, if u find a mother and a baby NO KILL IT THE BABU only kill mother. especially if u are getting one first time, use ur elderclaw that u grew to get the materials required for the seed and taming. U do this by corpse blossoms to harvest them use ur vine burst move to harvest have a blessed day anyone who reads this.

It says it good at getting thatch but I tried it sucks I don’t know what the rating folks are smoking but I want some

1) Kill a wild Elderclaw and loot their seed

2) Plant seed in crop plot the way you would anything else (greenhouse effect, shovel, fertilizer, water)

3) It'll ask for cravings much like a dino carrying a rhynio baby. The ones I've seen so far are Black Pearls, Ammonite Bile, Sap, Biotoxin and Giant Bee Honey.

4) Once cravings are done it'll give you the option to harvest which turns it into a baby (babies seem to eat normal herbivore stuff to replenish food)

These guys take maybe 10 minutes to go through the tend and see growth stages when you plant them in a tek plot, but you need to stay on top of them with all the tend items handy in your inventory.

For those playing on Xbox and you are trying to feed the freshly planted seedling 'baby' whatever its tending 'craving item' is:

Face the seedling, hold down the Y button to access a radial dial and then at the top of the radial is the item it wants to be fed. As long as you have it in your inventory, click on the item to feed it, and it'll remove it from your inventory.

When I looked at the seedling, it showed what it wanted to be fed, but it did not say what button to press to feed it, which is dumb. I couldn't find this info anywhere, and discovered this in a last minute panic trying to feed it.

Use the Tek Crop Plots that were introduced with Lost Colony for the seeds. 500% + Shovel-Effect… you'll be done in a few minutes (max. 30 seconds instead of 4 minutes per phase like with normal Crop Plots).

1) kill adult elder claw

2) get seed from corpse

3) plant in large crop plot that is irrigated, fertilized and has 300% greenhouse effect. It WILL NOT GROW IF THESE ARE NOT ALL MET

4) Complete cravings similar to a Rhynio implantation. Can be one of any of the following: Black Pearls, Giant Bee honey, Leech Blood, Ammonite Bile or Biotoxin. Only one is needed per craving.

5) once completed it will goce the option to "Harvest". The plant will disappear and a baby Elderclaw will pop up.

6) raise as normal on any herbivore raising method

They do not require tending after you breed them wild ones do require tending

Grow it on a oasisor has 300% greenhouse effect it auto fertilizes the plant and it auto waters it amazingly it’s the best way I had found so far best way to farm plants and it auto generates materials too and you can reserect tames

Raise the wild seeds in a tek crop plot.

Just lead a elderclaw to a megaraptor or something bigger and let it kill the seniorclaw then take the free seed it drops thats how i got mine

Found on a lot of other maps not just valgero. Find one and kill it. Take seed and plant in large crop plot. I use fertilizer from dung beetle. Use shovel to shovel the plot to lower the timer in between plant cravings. Plant cravings are like 6 different things: ammonite bile bio toxin giant bee honey sap black pearls leech blood. It takes like 5 cravings for three stages each. First stage is seedling-5 cravings, then Midling-5cravings, then Growthling-5cravings, finally it will become a Fruitling. After it becomes fruitling you can open the action wheel and select the harvest button. When you select harvest the plant will turn into the baby elder claw, you can now go to the baby and imprint it and raise it. I’m using berries to raise. Good luck!

Additional tip for "taming":

Use a shovel to reduce the timer from 5 minutes to 3:20 :)

If the tend timer or item doesn’t show just take 1 fertilizer out of the plot and it will show.
