ATTETION:

The Armored fish can't farm metal on Mobile,there's some metal ore in the lake near Green Obelisk and it will give you only STONE.Devs needs to fix this and add metal to the ocean

They can now gather metal, which is fantastic! They have decent weight also.

Be sure to bring lots and I means LOTS of tranq arrows 150 at least to be safe avoid head shots....obviously

Anyone else surprised that their not hostile

If you tranq them from the right angle you can get them to start swimming into the ground which will force them up resulting in them swimming to the surface. You can then build walls or structures around it so it doesn't escape then sit back like you are tranqing a giga until it falls unconscious.

On THE ISLAND IN ASE the only thing this is useful for is harvesting oil since the only places where metal, obsidian and crystal spawn are in underwater caves and your dunkleosteus can't go in there to harvest them or else it goes above water and dies.

Also if you are clever yes there are some rocks that spawn underwater but they are located near shores so you can use your dunkleosteus to harvest those but there are only a few places where this happens like in the northern shores and at herbivore island.

Remember that this only applies to the dunkleosteus on the map the island and on the game version ase so on other maps dunkles may be more useful and on asa more rocks do spawn underwater.

If you are playing on ark ultimate mobile edition then there are only oily rocks in the ocean as that is ase.

If you are off your mount and you swim close enough to one of these they will get aggressive and attack you, they do have an aggro range but it is very small.

They may seem calm, and won't be dangerous most of the time, but don't be fooled: They boast descent damage and godlike resistance, think of them as Rock Elementals of the sea, exchanging HP for numbers.

Just like elementals, they have a small aggro range, very slow movement speed and not the highest of the DPS. But if you get cornered, be ready to suffer a slow death by their stone-crushing jaws.

1.) Find A Squid

2.) Tame Squid

3.) Find Dunkleo

4.) Grab Dunkleo

5.) Shoot it With Compound And Toxicant

6.) Enjoy Your Dunkleo

Took me over 150 tranqarrows with a 400% crossbow to ko an X-Dunkleo... what a pain lol

As of latest update the Dunkel is supposed to offer a 75% reduction in obsidian weight.

Whoever said this thing is neutral was wrong... very wrong.

They are slow. Any tamed water mount that isn't a dunkle can out-swim it

They should add underwater stones that give metal on ark mobile

Great at getting Black Pearls from the eurypterid. 1 bite usually kills them, 2nd gets the pearls. I've never had to worry about their torpor sting with this fish
