The tale of the shadow phoenixes
Chapter twenty.
As they headed home Leah and Tom walked in the front while James, Cole and Arianna walked behind Leah and Tom. “Look how their holding hands.” James said, motioning to Leah and Tom. “Makes me feel kind of guilty that we aren’t offering Arianna our arms.” In unison Cole and James both held out their arms to Arianna. Arianna laughed and took both arms offered to her. While Tom walked Leah home Cole and James took Arianna home.
“Goodnight.” Arianna said, when they had arrived at her house. “Goodnight.” The boys said at the same time. She began to close the door slowly. James gave Cole a look. “Well? You gonna ask her out?” James asked. Cole glared at him, then sighed. James was right. Better sooner than later. “Hey Arianna wait!” Cole called. Arianna opened the door with a curious look on her face. “Would you like to go out…to dinner with me tomorrow?” Cole asked, holding his breath. Arianna shrugged. “Sure, I don’t have anything planned and besides…I always have time for one of my friends.” Then she shut the door. “Yes!” Cole exclaimed happily. James smirked at him. “Well goodnight Cole.” James said. Cole was left to go home alone. He was very excited. She’d said yes!
What Cole didn’t realize was simple…. “…..and besides…I always have time for one of my FRIENDS”

Chapter 23 ~the new recruits~
Ron sent the wolves out to gather up any creatures who were against the Queen and willing to fight back, it took a couple ours but they returned with quite a few possible recruits, three mammoths, a wooly rhino, a dire bear, a gigantopithicus, and even a managarmr. “Hello,” Ron said looking at his new troops, some of them greeted him back, “today I will be testing you to see if your a hood fit to overthrow the Queen, the plan requires a lot of muscle, a distraction and somebody small enough to fit through a vent,” he looked them over, “I see theres not many small creatures on this ark.. hmm that could be an issue.” Ron said. “It won’t be a problem!” Ping said walking up to him “I found some people perfect for this job.” He said excitedly, a few other kairukus walked over honking and walking around aimlessly. “You sure they’ll be any help..” Ron said. “Oh most definitely they just need motivation,” Ping said, “EVERBODY THE QUEEN TOOK ALL DA FISH WE GOTTA GET IT BACK!” The kairukus all looked at Ping in horror, “THEN WE MUST ATTACK!!” Said one. “No, if we do that she’ll eat them all we gotta be sneaky.” Ron said playing along. The kairukus looked at him for a few seconds then ran towards a narcoberry bush and used the berries to cover themselves in black dye like ninjas, “we are ready..” one said gravely. “Good, now for the others,” he looked at the recruits, “ok these three wolves are gonna chase you, last one caught gets to be our distraction.” The wolves got ready and Sir Charles counted down from ten, “3..2 1!” He said and his wolves ran after the creatures easily passing by one of the mammoths, and chasing after the others, the managarmr obviously was going to win but Ron wanted to see how the others would do, the rhino tried to fight back and he took note of that. “So, Charles, did you or your men meet any resistance from the Queens cronies wile gathering the recruits?” Ron asked. “None at all we didn’t even see any of her lackeys..” Sir Charles said. “That’s.. odd.. hmm, maybe they were having a training day or something.” Ron said. “That’s assuming they train..” Sir Charles said. (In fact they were not training they were just still incredibly sore from their encounter with krampus on Christmas night) the three wolves ran back up to rob and Charles panting and eating snow for refreshment, “we.. got.. them all… except the mutant wolf thingie..” Richard said panting. “As expected, the managarmr will be our distraction and the others will storm the castle.” Ron said. The managarmr boosted back and said “didn’t even break a sweat those ““knights”” will never catch me.” She said triumphantly. Ron looked at the other creatures stumbling up the hill, “good news everyone, your in!”
Under the waves: chapter 10
Pearl watched a strange figure in the distance. It was her turn during watch, and she had spotted something. What was it? A small megalodon? An Ichyosaur? She didn’t know. The creature paused, and turned in the direction of the cave they were resting in before fleeing into a patch of kelp. Weird. She left trench asleep to peruse it, as the cave was well hidden and he has a tendency to wake up very easily ever since they saw the ruined sanctuary. She dove into a small algae patch just as it emerged, looking around wearily. She still wasn’t close enough, but that changed as she raced after it. It let out a shriek and tried to get away, but she already had it pinned to the sea floor, sand billowing up around them. Once the sand cleared, she saw it was a large ichthy, dark grey body with yellow stripes and eyes. They struggled a bit, but stopped as soon as it realized it was futile. “P-please. I don’t- I just-“ it stammered. “Calm down. I’m not going to kill you.” Pearl interrupted. The ichthy kept twitching in a nervous way, as if it thought she was lying. “What’s your name?” She asked it gently. “B-Bright spot.” It said nervously. It sounded male, although he’s a bit high pitched. Or maybe it’s because he looks as if he would have a heart attack if she even moved. “Who.. Who are you?” Bright spot asked. “Pearl.” She responded, smiling.
“What.. what do you want with me?” He asked. Pearl considered how to say it for a moment. “Bright spot… are you able to do things other ichthyosaurs can’t?” She asked. “I.. maybe? Nobody else could see the things I could see.” He asked, as if she would bite him if he said no. “What do you see?” She prodded, a little annoyed by how he kept stammering. To be honest, she would be frightened if something triple her size pinned her to the sand, too. He seemed to brighten a little bit. “Oh! I see lots of things. I saw you and another plesiosaur, and I saw a megalodon a few miles over there,” he verged his head east. “And I see that there’s a crab right there.” He suddenly jerked his head into the sand and pulled out a still wriggling crab. How did he tell? “Interesting. Well, there’s this… prophecy. And you might be in it, especially if you can do things no other creature can do.” He gasped. “M-Me? In a prophecy?” He asked, amazed. “Maybe.” Pearl responded. “Here, follow me. And for the love of vipers, don’t run off.” She instructed. When she returned to the cave with bright spot trailing behind, trench was awake and moving in a panicked way. “There you are!” He said. “Where were you? I thought something might have happened.” She smiled. “I found someone In The prophecy.” She told him. Trench inspected a very nervous bright spot. “You sure? I feel like this shouldn’t be common knowledge for random creatures to know.” Trench said. “I’m sure. He can-“ she started. Bright spot immediately interrupted. “MOSA!” He shrieked. Trench tilted his head, but pearl didn’t question his abilities. Leading them out of the cave, they swam off. Bright spot looked like he was resisting the urge to disappear. They stopped to rest at a small dead reef, then the mosasaur lunged out of the kelp and closed it’s jaws around pearl’s neck.
The Obelisk
-Chapter 38-
Forest was panting, gazing at the oozing mess of bug remains. A distant, rueful roar came from deep inside the cave, and then all was silent.
Several Terror birds turned to their kind-mates, checking each other for major wounds. Crimsons chest rose and fell as she breathed in and out, still filled with battling rage. One of her eyes twitched, and he realized there was a long scratch acrossed it.
The whole section of the forest was deserted—all nearby creatures had fled or hidden nearby. But now several birds were flapping down to see the battlefield, their eyes wide.
Spark ran forward and gestured with her head to Crimson, who nodded and hurried over to Forest and Rust.
“Everyone good?” Spark whispered.
“Yeah,” Forest said as Rust answered, “ a bit.”
“Then let’s get out of here, now!” Crimson snarled under her breath. “Come on.” She headed quietly for the cave and maneuvered around the fallen tree, then climbed up the hill. The others followed.
“Where are we going?” Forest asked, catching up to her.
“As far away from those Terror birds as possible!” She said.
“Why? I thought—“
“I saw a threat and acted upon it,” she said slowly, keeping the pace. “Same as that soldier. Doesn’t mean we’re getting any reward. they’ll just question us.”
“The Terror birds are searching the area,” Rust called from farther down. “We’d better hide.”
They reached the top of the hill where several giant rocks lay on top of each other, with a small redwood tree branching through the gap. It was very pretty.
“Oh my gosh!” Spark gasped, thwacking Forest accidentally with her tail. “Look! The Shadowmanes! There they are!”
Forest scanned the landscape to see. Yes! There! He could see several colorful, long bodies trekking through the forest in a large drive. The Pego was right!
Fun fact dunkleosteus is 30 feet long so if the game was realistic mosasaurus was near a dunkleosteus’s size and there name means dunkels bone.I forgot I have a prehistoric fish book somewhere around here but I’m pretty sure it’s dunkels bone dunkleosteus has zero teeth in it’s mouth there so called teeth are actually armored plates that protect its head and from studying they could bite through a smaller armored fish covered in chain mill
