Utility Tips

What is a doedicurus used for? doedicurus battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
So, they’re pretty easy tames. High torpor, and very little narcotics. So, they’re easy to tame before you get the saddle! Now most people would think, ugh, can’t use it until the saddle! Others would say, if I put it on wander it will gather some stone for me. You know what I would do? I would put it to wander, then whistle it to follow me, then whistle it to stop once I was next to a rock. Then repeat. Once you’re done put it off wander and where you want it. Super easy and efficient and because of the weight reduction the rock almost weigh nothing in its inventory!
With the new move to location ability you can tell them to go to a rock and if they have under half weight they will auto-harvest stone...i just have a couple on click to move them then i ride a beaver with few more beavers following him (its better to not have the beavers on click to move because they will get in the way) then most of the time im just moving stone from dodic to beaver...dont have to manually harvest...you can even put the beavers on wonder and follow and they will collect wood and thatch passively whole time...persknally i just take my highest attack beaver around after all the stone in area is gone instead of womder trick because most of the beavers are default attack
If you need stone, I highly recommend getting a Doedicurus tamed. It's the best stone farmer and reduces the weight of stone by a lot.
Apparently, you can have the Doedicurus farm stone in the air if you pick it up with a Argentavis. Haven't tested it, but that's what my brother told me. Take it with a grain of salt.
It can get around 400-500 stone per swing (although now that I think about it today is the weekend and isn't there like weekend events for Increased harvest?)
Abilities That I know: Roll, you can start rolling in a direction, uses a little stamina, but decently quick for a Doedicurus. Then there's the main hit, for hitting stone, and atleast wild ones curl up in a ball and I would assume take less damage.
I got my first Doedicurus recently, so take all of this with a grain of salt.
