To tame quickly use an argy and pick up the doedi then place it on your taming pen and make a 1x1 house (if its daytime) and place a sleeping bag inside then sleep and then when you woke up use tranq darts or arrow then make it unconscious and look at the doedi hunger bar if its 0% place a soothing balm (if you have one) then feed it berries or crops (i recommend crops for fast tame) and the taming process will be fast as flash that you didn't even need to wait for hours to tame it, it will just in few minutes to tame and don't even need narcotics (The down side of this technique is the taming effectiveness goes down to 45% so you'll lose 55% of taming effectiveness)

Net with netgun before tranqing to stop him balling up saving you darts

If he goes into his ball form wait until he's out of the ball. He will recieve 90% less torpor when he is in ball form. So don't waste your tranq's!

This guy is super easy to knock out you dont need nets or anything super fancy just a prim rifle and at least 40 or more tranqs to be safe. depending on your rates. You will need a bunch of narcotics or none in my case because who tf is gonna wait 3+ hours for a dino to tame when you can just chuck the taming rate to 7.5x (3x plus singleplayer settings on)

I knocked one out using my mantis whilst it was holding scissors. It knocked a lvl 160 doedicurus out in 2 hits. It works, I guess

Do not use Dilo kibble to tame, May 2019 tried using Dilo kibble was only getting 0.1% per kibble

If you make it roll into a ball don’t worry pull an owl out and heal it, it will stand up and you can tranq it.

Aim for the head when taming. That way they take 90% torpor

Torpor drains a bit slower than this shows. Be sure to check it and not reply on thr timer

I had to peg this Dino at least 25 times with tranq darts in its hind legs, so simple tip agro it with a tough Dino in passive, then tranq till it’s down

So I knocked one of these guys out, a lvl 19, and I put berries in its inventory to start taming. I flew back home to make kibble bc I was close and I came back and when I fed it to the doedicurus it consumed it but tamed it like it was a berry. Very disappointed. Also I wasn’t able to pick it up with my argy. Come on dodoex

Use a 🪃. It normally will knock it out but not make it ball up

Bring a lot of arrows or darts to tame. I'm taming a level 48 and he's curled up in a ball 3 times. When he's curled up keep hitting with a club/boomerang/electric prod depends how far you are in the game

They love to eat Kibble from a Dilopho and Mejoberries. You have to shot 8-10 Tanquilizer Arrows in his Head and then you tame him. Tadaaaa :)

If you're scared of the redwoods currently trying to go north of the red obelisk on the island map (low chance to spawn and usually it's hunted by sabertooths so save it using an argy which also spawns in that area. You can shoot fast (tranq arrows deal huge startup in torpor and it slowly goes up so wait) and the final time do a full blow with a bow not crossbow (full shot by bow>crossbow but crossbow guarantees the amount). Now after that blow pummel it with a club (should have one it's best for gathering organic polymer) until it's out. Feed it berries and you have one. Now if you are unlucky and it curls up and stays up wait for it to come out and shoot it with a crossbow or charge your bow and shoot it right when it uncurls itself. The torpor slowly going up should knock it out and if not, just target the feet or underside. Hope this helped anyone wanting an easier time taming this stone gatherer!

I just shot a lvl 50 on an offical server with a ramshackle longneck with 46 darts before it shelled and it didn’t get nocked out ( no time between shots apart from reload time

These little buggers are so hard to knock out they get in their shell if their health is really low when it pulls into its. She’ll then use tranq arrows or normal arrows to hit it

These guys are your stone gatherers, to tame simply shoot it in the head with tranq arrows / darts and feed berries / crops / kibble and he is yours
