Doing too much damage too fast will cause it to go into armor mode. If you are using a crossbow count your shots. Start when you get the hit marker and shoot when you get to 5.

If its been damaged by dinos before you start dont even waste your arrows. Find a Doed that has full health. This works regardless of levels.

Quite easy to tame go to the redwood forest or a mountain shoot a couple of tranq arrows and pit da kibble and wait

Once found attack it until it goes into is shell then place a thatch floor over it you need obstruction off and after you have trapped it it can't move or attack and you can knock it out

Just tried to tranq a level 130 with 100 darts and didn’t fall, it instead froze up and is now just standing in one spot. I don’t know , but this is the first time this is happened to me in all the years of playing ark

Just shot a level 12 doed w 15 tranq arrows in the head, about 2 seconds between each hit... still attacking me, not running away.

I ended up using 35 tranq arrows before it finally fell asleep. The tranq estimates have been so bad lately

just tamed a level 140 on aberration with a primitive crossbow and darts. make sure to hit its head and wait like 5 seconds counted slowly between shots and it won't go into the ball mode

Make a pen with hatchframe, shoot their belly. If it balled up, cease fire wait it until uncurls. Repeat if needed, boom it's ready for feeding

Used to have 3 of these; Mallet, Hammer and Sledge. They were killed by a former tribemate because we cuffed him but they got us a full circle of behemoth gates around a lake in 2 days, would recommend for any survivor building stone. Dont hit on the shell only takes a fraction of torpor.

Torpor takes a lot of narcs to increase, even on a lower level, make sure to take plenty.

If it rolls up, walk away until you're out of sight, it'll get up after a few seconds.

Have a beaver follow it when out for stone and load the beaver up

just a fun guy to collect stone and even sand in scorched earth

I knock it out by the tail using tocacated arowes

If taming any level the best way for a quick tame under 10 or 20 mins depends on what your tame food is. Damage it until it curls up, run a few meters away wait for it to roll out and then start Tranquilizing it.

To knock out a doedicurus you can use a pachy using its charge ability and the doedicurus doesn’t deal that much damage and you will end up knocking him out before he curls up

When knocking it out using darts shoot it’s tail a couple times, and once in the head,watch health bar. When it rolls up, prone near it and keep shooting its legs and it’s belly.

Use tranq darts not arrows very hard to knock out at a low level

I knocked one out using my mantis whilst it was holding scissors. It knocked a lvl 160 doedicurus out in 2 hits. It works, I guess

When it goes into its ball mode, it is regaining it's health and takes reduced damage and torpor. So use boomerang or horse to knock it out they do torpor quick. And when you do get it knocked put spikes around it because it gets targeted by all carnivores.
