Tips & Strategies

What are tips for doedicurus? Tips and strategies for doedicurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These guys need triple tranq arrows/darts than what it says because I was trying to tame a lvl 55 and I needed 40 tranq darts and 31 tranq arrows. Be Wary!
To make it NOT GO IN ITS SHELL just use tranq arrows and make sure to bring at least 30 tranq arrows.
Why do these things ball up, but not also try to roll you flat?
I personally just tame them normally because they walk very slow and aiming for the head isn’t that hard and when it starts to run you just hit it’s head with a bat
When you tranq it keep your distance or else it will ball up and you have to start over.
On valguero I was walking around on my trek raptor to see what Dino’s were around my base because all I could see were dodics, ankys, and jeroboas. I got too close to a pack of three raptors and ran back to my base as fast as I could hoping they would unagro and they followed me and were killing all the dodos and small creatures and then they attacked a dodic and it killed two of the befor going into its ball and then I one shotted it with my anky. Dodics are more powerful then you think! Thank you for reading my story
If you have cheats or slot of time PUMP move speed to Max and you are a bowling ball
The doey DOES get obsidian. It sucks for metal tho
Just did a 120 well over what is said here. Ruined my tame. And my time ty
It says you need to tranq it 19 times but i shot it 70+ and it's still concious
Does not get obsidian so everyone knows
At lvl 50 need over 1000 narcoberrys
IVE GONE TO THE REDWOODS 10 TIMES AND WHAT HAVE I FOUND?!? MURDER CATS AND REXES THATS WHAT. ANY DOEDICS? NO!!! THEY ARE NOT COMMON AROUND HERE AT ALL
If you need stone, I highly recommend getting a Doedicurus tamed. It's the best stone farmer and reduces the weight of stone by a lot.
Apparently, you can have the Doedicurus farm stone in the air if you pick it up with a Argentavis. Haven't tested it, but that's what my brother told me. Take it with a grain of salt.
It can get around 400-500 stone per swing (although now that I think about it today is the weekend and isn't there like weekend events for Increased harvest?)
Abilities That I know: Roll, you can start rolling in a direction, uses a little stamina, but decently quick for a Doedicurus. Then there's the main hit, for hitting stone, and atleast wild ones curl up in a ball and I would assume take less damage.
I got my first Doedicurus recently, so take all of this with a grain of salt.
