I don't bother with taming these. Build a nice box (3x3) with no roof, drop a few wild females in (4-6 is plenty) & you have a self sufficient egg farm. Wild dinos don't require a food source, so by keeping them wild you don't waste any resources feeding them. Check on them every once in a while& you'll have plenty of eggs for kibble/food/anything you wanna use them for.

No, they’re not actually good creatures. Shark bait, eggs, kamikaze, and pets are their good uses.

A sido is worthless it’s only use is for eggs but if that’s no use to you just take it with you and if you get attacked pick up and throw the dodo at it

If your egg hatch rate is high, your breeding cooldown low, and you leave your dodos on wander, they’ll make a whole lot of fertilized eggs and babies that, depending on where you live, will hatch with no assistance.

Once you get a whole lot of babies, go in there with a carnivorous tame or simply a pike and pick for some easy early game prime.

One time a sarco came to my base and attacked me and my 3 Dodo. I come back about 3 minutes later to one Dodo, completely unbiased. I check it's inventory and I see sarco skin. My dodo, not high level, killed a sarco all by itself, with minimal effort.

I’ve stolen 2 wyvern eggs bye replacing the egg with a dodo then throwing another dodo into the lava. Blown up 2 tribe leaders with C4 dodos but never have tamed catchers with it.

You can easily get prime meat with these by taming some of both gender and putting them in a small room with a heat source and wandering enabled then check on it every once in a while to harvest the dead baby dodos for prime meat.

3:make a trap

4:make sure there’s meat eaters around

5:put dodo in trap and make them stay

6: wait and trap the creature that walks in

7:free dino and repeat.

If you want to breed them you could put a male and a female in a wooden cage and put them on wander. It will take a while but after dome time the female will lay a fertilized egg.To get it you could open the cage door and the dodos will walk out.
