This is probably the most powerful creature in Ark. You probably want to be a high level and have good armor and equipment before confronting one of these. They are pretty rare and are usually found in the ocean or flying around in colder areas.

I wouldn't recommend punching it, only use ranged weapons. It is too dangerous to go near it.

To get an army of these I would build a house and set them on wander and passive to breed. Then build a storage and fire so you can put the egg into the fire to hatch and put berries in the storage.

To the person who said only tame a few because if you have to kill it just level up a wild one to lvl2,000 and when you tame it it will get a 974 lvl boost.

Dodos are easy dinos to tame all it takes is...

1 punch the dodo with your fist

2 feed it berries until you tame it

Cute starter tame knock with fist or club and feed berrys! Mejo berrys work best.

I tamed one yesterday. It took this-

A lvl 500 quetz platform

20 tribemates

500 shocking tranqs (for each tribemate)

500 element

Ten titanosaurs as bait on passive for the dodo to attack

1000 narcotics

Lead the dodo into a cliff, 10 tribemates on quetz and 10 on foot, let the dodo attack the titanosaurs,it will take about 10 hours of shooting to knock it down assuming everyone lives, once it's out have a tribemate in charge of getting more narcotics, have one in charge of feeding the narcotics and one in charge of feeding the element (torpor drains fast). Takes 5 hours to tame with 15x taming.
