Did you know that in the 2023 new dungeon there is a room full of HUGE dodos that you have to clear? They are hostile though.

you can easily knock out a dodo with your fists. feed it about 15 berries and let the bar go up. then use your dodo to fight small dinos like dilos or other dodos. (btw if you turn on aggressive mode they will kill everything even if you are trying to tame it)

Dodos are birds that eat berries. They can be most commonly found on coasts. Wild Dodos are not aggressive so no need to fear retaliation or death around them (unless they attract a nearby predator).

Simply knock them out by punching them (or using your preferred tranquillizing equipment if you have any) and inserting berries (not black or white berries) into their inventory.

Dodos are useful for there eggs since they do not lay eggs based on a timer, but rather have a chance to replace there feces with an egg.

You can breed dodos and hatch there eggs to get baby dodos. Baby dodos can be harvested for prime meat if needed.

Dodos can also be used for storage if necessary or as a distraction when escaping a near-death situation. They can also be used as bait.

Do not engage with these fierce creatures. lost my lvl 300 spino, and 2 imprinted Rex's. rip.

1. If you make a farm and have your dodos wander they will have eggs to hatch and eat

Extremely hard to tame. Only gets knocked out if you use rocket launcher. Takes about 1500 shots to the head for knockout. Only eats fertilized giga eggs during taming. Only eats raw prime meat after taming. Can one shot titanosaurus. My base got pillaged by one of these guys. I lost my dinos and entire base and all of my stuff. They can aggro on you as soon as it is rendered in.

If u breed a dodo to scale three u can put a diclimatoin bit on it which gives it a rage effect when it targets a creature also allows it do damage anything even tek

If you put them on wander, they will produce every material in the game. This can be harvested through bushes, trees, and rocks. Underrated.

These things are highly aggressive and will chase u down for like, at least 5 miles. U will need at least 2 rexes and a tech rifle for this kill. Drop tech gear and give u like a hundred levels.

You can use these as bait for certain predators on land and in the sea because of the ability to pick them up and throw them (and cheap taming).

This is easily the most useful, destructive, oblivious, and powerful thing in ARK. (yes even stronger than the overseer) It can be used in many more ways than other Dinos. Bio-Warfare, ever heard of it? Dodos can help you do that. Give one swamp fever, take it over to an enemy tribe or person, and drop it in their base. (On wander) The fever will forever linger. If you level it high enough, it becomes a murder machine. If you want a free alarm, dodos come in handy. Set it to aggressive in your base, and it must kill or be killed. They also swim fast, so send it into an enemy’s base with water routes. They can also have C4s on them, which means if they are attacked they explode, and they can just wander. Set it off when you want.

Baby Dodos give prime meat when u use metal ax or better 🫢
