This is easily the most useful, destructive, oblivious, and powerful thing in ARK. (yes even stronger than the overseer) It can be used in many more ways than other Dinos. Bio-Warfare, ever heard of it? Dodos can help you do that. Give one swamp fever, take it over to an enemy tribe or person, and drop it in their base. (On wander) The fever will forever linger. If you level it high enough, it becomes a murder machine. If you want a free alarm, dodos come in handy. Set it to aggressive in your base, and it must kill or be killed. They also swim fast, so send it into an enemyβs base with water routes. They can also have C4s on them, which means if they are attacked they explode, and they can just wander. Set it off when you want.

Step 1:Tame dodo
Step 2:Get it to level 150
Step 3:switch between health and melee dmg upgrades
Step 4:Throw and tell it to attack an unsuspecting victim
Step 5: Laugh as they die to a dodo
These tames can be used as a bomb. You place C4 on the dodo and drop it into a base. Detonate and watch the fireworks!

For the guy who said that it would be cool if a dodo could sit on your shoulder: on ark mobile, a dodo smaller than .75 can in fact be carried on your shoulder. Dodos over 2.6 can be ridden. Fun fact. :)
On mobile these can be bred to get insane sizes, like huge, bigger than an Allosaurus and they have 8 abilities unlocked at certain sizes. I only know 2 abilities, one is the dodo gains an immense amount of speed and charges towards the target. The other that I know of is that it jumps up and slams into the ground which stuns surrounding enemies. Do not underestimate the potential that these have on mobile, they can become beasts.
You can get prime meat from the babies, but it spoils very quick, so this is how to get it all to a predator:
1. Incubate lots of dodo eggs so they only have one or two seconds left to hatch.
2. Carry the dodo eggs as well as a campfire (you might need two) and fuel.
3. When youβve knocked out the predator you want, light the fire and hatch some of the dodo eggs.
4. Kill the babies and harvest their meat with a metal pick.
5. Feed the meat to the predator and enjoy!
Iβve experimented, and it looks like you get two to six prime per dodo.

If you have to pick up a dodo(a very early tame, likely your first), choose a female. Dodo eggs are able to be made into basic kibble/dodo kibble(depends on the playing platform), which can be used to tame some powerful early tames.
