It is the biggest creature in the game so its not hard to spot make sure you hit it with every tranq option 1sextillion to the billionth power to the quintillionith a tek trap (since dodos can destroy metal) and it takes one google years with a googleplex exceptional kibble
but with this strong, tanky, firebreathing, fast, flying, border destruction mount you can gather millions of every material with any random flower in zeptoseconds, its saddle (which is unlocked on level 180) all its stats are infinity and it can speed across crystal isles in .00000000000000000-----1th of a zeptosecond, you need to get every achievement in the game, you need to get every version of the game (even switch), you need to get every explorer note/glitch in the game, defeat all the bosses and missions gamma, beta, and alpha, and get every trophy of all the creatures (deathworm horn, and rhino horn included) + a googplex element to get its tek saddle, its tek saddle can do everything every tek item can do and it can be used as a platform saddle, this is the last tame that you will ever need

if u are new to ark then yes u can tame one or two but don't let ot get tooo much. i know they are cute but that's it. they are not helpful and u need to take care of them. i had so much of them and it broke my heart to kill them because i couldn't tame more dinosaurs
Dodos are quite easy to tame, and have few uses, but here’s a guide anyway.
1. Find a dodo, they are found on the southwest, south, and southeast beaches, sometimes they are in the jungle next to the beaches.
2. Easiest way to knock out a dodo is to use fists, however it’s sometimes problematic with high level high health dodos, so I recommend a club or slingshot. Tranq arrows are kind of a waste, and can kill the dodo depending on level. No trap is needed because the player is able to outrun the dodo
3. Mejos work great, and won’t really affect the effectiveness so I recommend those, you won’t need narcs, and it is a quick tame, so just sit by it until it’s up

Alright so this is how to tame a dodo for newbies
1: get some berries (make sure it’s a decent amount so you don’t run out)
2: find a dodo and punch it/club it until it's unconscious
3: feed the dodo the berries (give it more as needed)
4:you have a dodo! Give him a name and enjoy 😊
They can spawn alone or up to packs of 5 and when you run up to one and punch it they have a very low chance of attempting to attack you once by pecking you then fleeing. Idk if this is a bug or not but it allows you to get a very rare death message and/or clip.
Just club it until it knocks out then feed berries until it tames

From what I have heard you can breed dodos to be so big you can ride without saddle, or you can breed so small it can sit on your shoulder. Working on breeding them big. To breed small/big then just breed your biggest/smallest dodos together. Hope this helps. if helpful 👆, if unhelpful 👇
