Prologue

¥|~|tempest|~|¥

Crack!* a single gunshot echoed across the valley tempests ears perked up, he raised his hackles as he watched a near by mammoth race into the section of the woods the gunshot had came from. Tempest felt bad for the mammoth his own mother had been killed by a human hunter his litter mates stolen tempest had been the sole survivor. Tempest heard a second gunshot followed by another he could almost hear the animals body’s hitting the ground, he snarled at the trees, that human thing had been causing him and the other predators in the area trouble killing all of their prey and wiping out entire packs of wolves, groups of sabertooth tigers and even rexes of course this caused the predators like tempest to fight the deer predictors in the area the more food they would get, tempest felt his hackles raise as he saw something coming out of the woods. The human carrying a long silver gun, tempests ears flattened themselves against his head as the crouched in the snow slowly lowering himself down into the freezing stuff, his white coat blending him into the snowy background almost a little to well… tempest heard footsteps coming closer compact snow groaning with whatever weight was being held on it, tempest crouched frozen as the human came nearer and nearer…

Kuki wished she had never asked to come hunting with her brother Krane, he pulled out his shotgun and immediately pumped all the nearby animals with holes hunting for the fun of it not for the food we so desperately needed when she had caught him sneaking off this morning she had jumped at the opportunity to leave the building she’d been cooped up in for half off the winter, so as soon as her brother ran off shouting something about a mammoth, kuki scampered off to do her own exploring. As soon as she left the small forest a large snow covered plain opened up the sun making the snow sparkle and gleam like a crystal. It seemed weirdly empty she saw few preditors and even fewer prey what she did see where skinny and sick looking kuki walked staring around her as she went the blue obelisk rose high and mighty above a mountain and giant feathered birds flew in the sky kuki looked around eyes bright and exited and everything was going well that was until she heard the breathing..
