If you want to 5qme these I highly recommend using tranquilliser draws as arrows will kill this creature.if you want to immobilise it you can ethier run though a doorframe in a wall or you can run it into a large bear trap.

Doesn't work.i used carbon kibble I even waited to 4k hunger it only got 1 quarter of the way

Lead it into a tampering pen and watch it’s health it torpor is higher than its health also this thing can and will eat berries as well as honey and meat you can use tranq arrows but I suggest darts credit to Phlinger Phoo check out his ark basics on the DireBear on YouTube up this to support Plinger Phoo so noobs can learn how to tame in ark and to support his channel

I tellin u should get low levels they have better torpor and are still strong also one the snow biome they are to much don’t tame there also I’m in mobile

By far most versatile Dino in the game. Best metal gathered you can get if you don't have a quetz. My dire bear has over 3k metal and it's quick to get back to my base

My dire Bear is level 189 and is so powerful it easily killed an alpha Rex level 78 Amazing for base defence

Idk why everyone says tranq arrows kill it, I used tranq darts on a lvl 27 and I knocked it with 163 remaining health

Bear traps won’t work so build like a stone trap from it

You can not tame bears living in caves!!!

Amazing starting tame. Start in center redwoods, get some metal going, maybe a pt. Build maybe 3 grapples, a crossy, and make a pit-fall trap. I’ve done a 2 stone foundation with stone gateways and 4 Ramos. LISTEN! When you ko a bear, you could / should use HLNA or a magnifying glass. Shoot the bear about 12 (8 to be safe) and feed yourself and make sure it eats your body every time. You don’t need to waste hours on a longneck with like 45 tranqs. You only need about 70~(if you miss or arks stupid registration) for one.
