If your on a pve server which I am, you can have a bus service with theses long neck bois

Taming these the best trick I learned is load up on Mejo Berries and Chase it's tail. It will spin in circles but this causes it to get hungry significantly faster than just waiting under it, or letting it push you into a rock or cliff or trapping it.

Using the Diplo- the Diplo has a nice use early game in traversing the map. Only large dinos will Aggro the diplodocus allowing you to swim in areas aggressive waterline would kill you. I used mine extensively in the swamp to gather rare flowers, and various seeds as almost nothing attacks them. Seeing as they don't do damage even if you accidentally hit another dino it won't become aggressive. I avoid redwood on them as thylas on the ground can't dismount you, but in the trees they can and will. They are awesome for taming other dinos as you can utilize them in 2 different ways. You can knock out the dino you want to tame, mount the diplo and dismount on top of it don't jump off. Dinos will aggro on you instead of the dino your taming, and you can safely kill them from its back just make sure you don't have your diplo to flee or you'll fall off. Since they don't do damage you can level one up with crazy high heath and send them to attack a large dino, the diplo will keep them occupied without damaging them so taming effectiveness doesn't drop. Since they do knock back on attack it also slows down how fast a dino can kill them. Dinos larger than Carnotaurs will attack you and if you get to close to a tickle chickens it will also attack. Alpha Variants of Raptors and Carnotaurs will not attack the Diplodocus. Early Game they are amazing IMO as they safely open up alot more of the map than any other Dino you can tame and mount at that point.

Although diplodocus are pretty good tames in my opinion, they are also great for taming carnivores! If you are taming something like a rex, carno or just some creature that likes prime meat, head to the redwoods. Even though the redwoods is dangerous, there are normally lots of diplos there. K!lling diplodocus most of the time give you prime meat! The max amount of prime I have gotten was 6️⃣ I hope this will help you tame carnivores in the future!

It might look bad because it can’t do damage but imagine seeing one of these with all nine people with guns. It also has insane knockback.

I recommend using an diplo if some Brontos get stuck in your base which are annoying, because they diplos do no damage and can push every creature away.... and the Brontos don‘t destroy your base

You will not realize how great of a tame is thing is until you get one with one that is above 10000 HP. I would recommend this as the first thing to tame right after you can get it’s amazing for a early game tank because of its massive health pool and it can out run animals like the Rex and most animals will ignore you if you are riding on one of these. Best thing is this tame has a lot of weight. Overall a amazing tame to have at early and mid game

one of the most underrated ark creatures honest this is the best early game berry gatherer. Despite not being able to attack it is an amazing gatherer for wood, thatch and berries and it’s so easy to tame. They spawn mainly in open fields. Saddle unlocks pretty early at level 32. I recommend bumping health and weight since it can be very bulky if built so. But once you have a bronto there’s really no need to use a diplo but amazing early game utility!

A long time ago, I tamed a diplo while my tribe was f*cking around and I brought him up to the main part of the base and they were like wtf then I was like all aboard the diplo bus and I only leveled speed weeee

Stand at just the right spot under it's chest and let it attempt to keep bumping you until it's feeding option comes back. Beware of compy's and dilos coming to reset the taming progress

It's major use is being a bus or a distraction or a weight holder

Lots of people compare these things to busses but I like to think of them as cargo trucks mutate the heck out of its health and all of a sudden you got a tank that can yeet enemies and carry a small army on its back kinda broken 100 likes and wild card will add a diplo tek saddle

They can be used to knock back enemy’s while you fire away the enemy’s will get knocked out if you use tranqs and won’t did because of 0 damage diplo so then you can tame some of the best Dinis like my spino, super useful for starters

These are soakers, after a few generations breeding, HP gets to the 300k range...

When tamed, I see these guys as buses of some sort. They can also be ultimate siege machines, just have all the passengers have Assault Rifles or RPGs and boom. They have plenty of weight to hold also.

Diplos are insanely fast once tamed, coupled with their high weight they can be a legitimate form of transportation, especially when raised!

i feel this should have a platform saddle.i mean, just like at how flat at the top it is

Everyone’s talking about how it’s good for meat but the real silver lining in the diplo is that it’s eggs give you I believe the most food of any eggs trust me I’ve eaten almost every egg imaginable you name it I ate it...not including gigs and non island creatures.
