Tips & Strategies

Sure Diplos can't actually hurt you or creatures, but having one is not too bad. Picture this: You have a diplodocus at you base, along with some stronger dinos like Rexs or allos, when all of the sudden you get the notification that you dodo has d!ed! Your heart sinks as you run outside of your base to see what creature did it, and you see a wild Rex chomping away at your dinos! You whistle your tames to attack the rex, as they're attacking, you see your diplodocus trying to k!ll the rex even though it is doing no damage. But that goes to show to diplodocus is pretty good! With the diplodocus's playful head nudge it can push the threat away allowing your strong tames to get the damage in! Diplodocus is pretty RAD!

Should have special saddle with spiked tail and head armor and when they attack it does knockback and damage up Iβd you think this good isea
Everyone saying the Diplo needs a tail whip attack and platform saddle, seriously if you want that get a bronto, the Diplo has its purpose and so does the bronto, making one into the other makes one redundant and totally useless. Brontos are attackers and portable bases, diplos are a hybrid of speed and capacity, no one would complain about a gallimimus that can carry eleven people and still have space to spare for three tonnes of cargo, but they do complain about a Diplo which is essentially that in terms of functionality.
Yo, when did they make it so diplo can harvest berries? It is so much more useful and such an easy tame for both berries and early game travel now.
Best easy prime meat source when taming. Defenseless massive walking meat pile
Not as useless as you might think! A high-level spino was terrorizing a nearby river. I took my diplo (Dylan) and while the spino was focused on killing Dylan, I was using my crossbow and rifle to do damage to it. Spino ended up dead, while Dylan was at 2000 out of 3000 health, and I was not injured at all.
Love u Dylan
This bad boi is useful on cliffs cuz you can push danger off just like my diplo a random guy with a giga started raiding us but they failed as they were pushed by my diplo the giga died with the rider lol πππ
Well their saddle holds 11 people so if u were to give 11 noobs assault rifles with 1000 ammo each you might just have the ultimate killing machine. probably not the best idea.
It's pretty fun to run around with 10 people on your saddle, especially if they all have shotguns!
These are INCREDIBLY useful tames to have in mobile, and hereβs why:
In Raids; In mobile, we donβt have cryopods. Due to this, turret soaking becomes a problem, in that itβs difficult and takes time to get all tames you need to soak to the enemy base. These guys are very fast, very easy to tame, and are tanky health-sinks even at low levels; making them the PERFECT soakers in mobile. need more? Go get some balm and mejoberries, and youβve got your replacement in under 12 minutes.
Used as a construction tool, theyβre the same size as a bronto, meaning you can easily build tall structures & tree platform bases using his sheer height. He has a lot of weight as well, meaning if you have an enormous amount of metal walls/pillars/ what have you, he can hold it for you.
Used for transportation, the same is true; he has SO MUCH WEIGHT! And heβs very fast, with 10 seats in his saddle. If you need to move base, heβs your man.
Thatβs my Ted talk, up for noobs to see.
Diplodocus is an all purpose tank and insane knockback. But Ark should add the diplodocuses doing tail whips whilst fighting carnivores.
