I feel like this poor lil newt thing is not respected enough, people say it useless but they are really good for collecting from trilobite and stuff and also they always are getting murdered by kapros, sarco, and titanoboa, they should be treated better!!!

Heres how to tame a diplocaulus

First find it in swamps use argentavis to carry it to your house. second use tranq darts to knock it down. third get narcotics up to 20

And 20 raw meat and there you have your own diplocaulus

For starter if you want this thing the best way I got one is I killed one and took it revival thing went to the green crystal thing revive it Trang it with three Trang arrows and when it was knock use a smoothing pot and gave it 10 cooked meat and there you have it a new dino and best part it give you oxygen when you ride it or swim with it you don’t need a saddle just make sure it’s in the water

These are bola-able so u can tranq them and tame

Scare it out of the swamp scare it out of the water and you're good to tame it it's easier that way the fast swimmers sometimes and the swamp is dangerous

pro tip: use a (Royal) Griffin Or Argy, Preferably a griffin so you can shoot the predators and dive down and grab it and bring the adorable amphibian to a safe place

I’m on Ark Mobile so it may be different for some of u guys, but how I found these was in swamps, of course, take a flier that can carry one of these bad boys and take them somewhere safe since I can barely find them due to being killed easily, I have a taming area at my base so I carried them there. Once you have them there it’s safe to knock them out, and since these guys don’t attack it’s not gonna be too hard, their torpor doesn’t go down too quickly but not too slowly so your in the clear to go do something quickly. After that you can ride these guys in the water with almost infinite oxygen when on them!

Every flier can pick this up so build a wood foundation 4 wood walls and a ladder or 2 and use your flier to put it in there then knock out and bring narcotic in case.

Mostly found in swamps..it will run away at sight...they don't eat berries only meat..Bola it and use a club instead of tranq arrows but if you want to be careful yea sure use tranq arrows.protect it due to sarcos and baryonyx will attack it

These guys are a primitive scuba gear. If you play on primitive these guys are a necessity for deep sea crates.

Gonna have to chase em around, I saved it from a sarco and then had to find it, chase it, and tranq it. I suggest taming it to save it

If you have trouble finding one, just go to crystal isles in the tropical area(more specifically, the one with some crocodile) and search around the coast, you'll have much more probability of finding one and taming it without much danger
