Tips & Strategies

What are tips for diplocaulus? Tips and strategies for diplocaulus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Can be picked up with a pteranodon.
Super easy to tame, even easier if you have an argy, all I did was pick it up and drop it somewhere near my base where it was safe, then I gave it like 2 tranq darts. Not very fast so you don’t even have to trap it if you’re close to base or somewhere safe lol. Mine was a low level so be careful not to load too many tranq arrows into it. Put meat or kibble into inventory, name it queef queen💪
If they are SWIMMING you can ride them. Use this to get black pearls from trilobites and lobsters but watch out because everything that aggro on humans will aggro on it so watch out Also if riding on mobile you have infinite air. This dude is how I obtained enough black pearls to tame that tuso that got stuck in rocks
Ark mobile player here. Pteranodons can pick these guys up and they dont hurt your flyer when wild. Swoop in and save it before it gets hurt too badly. Drop it in a taming pen to heal then knock out and tame
Swamp Life for Diplocaulus: Getting teased by the bigger bois and dies :(
Hey bloop they spawn in swamps and they're as rare as leeches, you can see them swim like crocs but they somehow look like beelzebufos. They swim extremely fast though so you need to carry/trap them.
Put it in water with you bring up its command wheel to ride. While your riding it it will share oxygen.
I save one and it is getting tamed!
Diplocaulus are constantly picked on by swamp carnivores, even the sluggish Dilos, add on the fact that they are so painfully slow and it results in it constantly kicking the bucket.
For taming either take some strong tames to kill all swamp carnivores or, and this is worth noting, use a pteranodon/Tapejara to hook it out the swamp for easy pen taming
Level oxygen, movement speed and health, tame a higher level so you don't have to pump most of your levels into health, at first it may look like you can't ride it because it doesn't have the option or of the water, but once you get in the water, you can suck oxygen out of it so if your playing on primitive plus or don't have scuba yet it's very good
Diplo can give oxygen in underwater
Without scuba suit
AMAZING....
If having trouble finding one in the swamps try bringing a parasaur with you and use its detection ability to see all nearby carnivores hiding in the water and walk up to them to check if they are a diplo. as long as you have some sarcos or barrys to clear out the piranhas you will find one in a couple of minutes easy.
I just bred mine and put the egg in the fridge. So who said you cant move the egg is full of bologna. Now as for the hatching, I have no idea but it will be a learning curve.
Bruh I have found thousands of them running out the water for no reasons
Usually is being chased By a dinosaur from the swamps
