Encountering Tips
How do I kill a diplocaulus? diplocaulus battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Poor things always getting killed by the Kaprosuchus and the Sarcosuchus.
They are like so rare for me so I always try to save them if they are being attacked by a Sarco or Kapro. They come in cool colors too like dark BLUE!
One time while I was hunting terror birds I saw a really pretty orange female one. Sadly, it seems the terror birds were on a hunt for it. But I finished them off for their evil deeds against rare salamanders. Up is respect for the endangered lizards
Quite possibly the only completely harmless creature in the swamp.

You can always find them in the swamps being attacked by sarco, kapro, boa, and baro..
I happened to go prime meat shopping and scoop him up. Never seen one before. Loved it. Found a mate! Made them mate! Egg sit it in the water... baby Explode. Lmaoooooo never have I ever seen a Dino explode before. Was so piss off... I laughed...went to bed. Lol
Apparently these are rare so I tamed one ✨
These guys will never make a move to attack you, in fact, they are more likely to run away, and are rare due to being a snack for kapros and sacros. You can pick one up with a tame kapro, so you can actually save them.
It gets black pearls from trilobites Pass the word
If your struggling a to find one check the nearby sarcos, kapros and snakes in the swamp to see if they are chasing something. Chances are they’re chasing a diplocaulus. Or a phiomia. Those darn phiomias are always getting chased…
Swamp Life for Diplocaulus: Getting teased by the bigger bois and dies :(
I saw it and killed it cause I wanted extra meat
Now I know it can be tamed
And apparently when this thing dives it dissapeared cause I can't find it
Has a head resembling a stealth bomber, but it’s attack is only effective towards trilobites 🤨.
It sorta looks like a Japan giant salamander.
Hey bloop they spawn in swamps and they're as rare as leeches, you can see them swim like crocs but they somehow look like beelzebufos. They swim extremely fast though so you need to carry/trap them.
Will farm about 25 chitin per trilobite and will kill and collect a trilobites loot in 1 bite, also you dont need scuba gear since you can ride it and take its oxygen.
Rip eerie lvl 150 diplocaulus. I will never forget you
Bruh I have found thousands of them running out the water for no reasons
If having trouble finding one in the swamps try bringing a parasaur with you and use its detection ability to see all nearby carnivores hiding in the water and walk up to them to check if they are a diplo. as long as you have some sarcos or barrys to clear out the piranhas you will find one in a couple of minutes easy.
Don’t kill it! It is nice. It scared me the first time I saw it
Usually is being chased By a dinosaur from the swamps
