What are these even used for? Are they just an accessory to the ecosystem or they just a tame that is a false Walmart brand Axolotl? 🤷‍♀️

I always try to tame them but get killed everytime because other dino often see it before me and kill it then turn on me

They should make it so you can pet them.

They should make it so you can make a ball and use it to play with a diplocaulus

The ability to give the player oxygen (via smootch) is cool and a great early game replacement for the scuba gear but they should be more impactful in the game. Maybe they could heal dinos underwater like a Daedon (Some salamanders regenerate entire parts of their body) or when on water give a hidration buff that affects all allied dinos. They are clearly not combat creatures but a TLC that gave them water related support abilities would make them more interesting and worth taming.

These guys are so easy to tame but are kinda uncommon or maybe rare depending on what map are you in. You can also ride them on iPad or pc but on iPad you need to keep them on water in order to ride them. So if you wanna ride them I recommend making a base near a river or pond and done you have a new salamander that can kill and collect fish.
