Ok so I though this was going to be hard af to do it was easy I used a pterodactyl and stalked him till he came out I left to go grab some more food for me and I came back and he was out of the water I fell down and got back up very quickly thank lord bc u wanna die go the the swamp so I was scared for my life that everyone was going to die and I just got back quickly but it worked out my pterodactyl got full Energy to pick up and fly to the safe place (no place is safe) he went out so BOOM I got him we flew and I dropped him bc I was going to fall and he was running away so I shot him 3 times tranq arrow and he was down I was slow bc he can die quickly gave him meat and now I am waiting which is taking forever going to name him Dip and Chips
More Diplocaulus Taming & KO Tips
Super easy tame. Knock out with and bow and trans. Feed it raw meat. Boom π₯ TAMED!
This baby don't need a saddle to ride and gives you oxygen while riding and also supplies you with a breath π« or 2 under water.
β¨ANNND another thing it is SUPER fast under water π¦
All these tips here tells you how to tame it... but what they fail to mention is the fact, you have to breed it on land, canβt move the egg and the baby HAVE to STAY IN THE WATER!! Donβt push the baby on land or it WILL EXPLODE!!!! I just watch my baby explode right before my eyes!!! Never have I seen a Dino exposed before!!!
How to tame diplocaulus
Where to find:
Diplocaulus spawn in swaps but they are rare but many of them spawn in dungeons.
Taming details:
Diplocaulus are knockout tames and they eat meat
Problems:
Diplocaulus are always getting eaten by everything so if find one keep it safe also diplocaulus have low health so you might accidentally kill it
Abilities when tamed:
Diplocaulus can only be ridden underwater and they dont need saddles and when you ride it yoy wont loose oxygen but the diplocaulus will and diplocaulus are fast underwater

On a 135, 13 crossbow shots DO have a chance of killing it.
They are skittish but not anywhere near faster than humans. They have low torpor and health, so tranq darts are recommended. Tamed like any carnivore, kibble is Archeopteryx. Can be found anywhere in and around the swamps.
Useful to supply oxygen to divers who do not have scuba gear at hand but very weak in battle.
If you ever need to find one, look for the 3 kapros, 2 sarcos, and 4 titanaboa smushed in a circle
On mobile, these CAN be picked up by ptera
The easiest way to tame is to pick it with your arge and put it far from water ποΈββοΈ
They eat kibble differently from other dino.. normal dinos like rex or quetzal eat 1 kibble every 80 food but the diplocalus eats 1 kibble every 120 food.. you need to re-adjust and calculate it again
First of all, this dino is quite useful when it comes to swimming underwater, since it spends itβs own oxygen except for yours and gives you some extra when dismounted. I recommend getting it out of the water first (if it is in water tho) since you know.. Sarcos etc. I lured a dilo to attack it then killed it to knock it out safely. You can also use bolas on these things which is pretty good for a 4 legged dino. And the most important part is that you need to add it weight since its around 150 at lvl approx 10 and you need to like ride it. Also the best thing of it is that it doesnβt require a saddle, I mean you can just ride it after tamed without using anything. Gotta remind their colors are modtly amazing and DONβT LET THE DODODEX PHOTO FOOL YOU THEY ARE SMALLER THAN MOSCHOPS. Hope it helped!
