Best way to keep this creature alive while taming is to run it far away from danger. more often than not a kapro or sarco will come and kill while tamining.

Would tame, black pearls from trilobites and it’s a living oxygen tank but it is in the risky areas of the map, maybe if you’re lucky you’ll find one that was chased outside the swamp!

I saw one amd it was being bullied by two sarcos and I am a level 9 so I just watch him be beat up. I shouldn’t have watched cause I saw his body get flung into the air like a ball😭

Some people may not understand how much oxygen this thing actually has. Even a low lvl can stay underwater for what seems like an eternity, more than youll ever need for farming pearls in the river and gathering oil

There’s a area in the spawn we’re predators rarely spawn but the diplocaulus spawn takes a long time tho it’s a water area and no predators and if you wanna time it underwater there’s fish that’s gonna bite you but other than that it’s safe.

If it’s a low level bola and shoot it with tranq darts simple as that. If it requires over 4-5 darts use a bola, place 4 foundations around it for both sides front and back, then put 1 wall on the side closest to the tame for each foundation. Seems a bit overkill but if they have room to swim you will be playing a lot of cat and mouse

These guys are good swimmers and share there oxygen when you are riding them

You can only ride him in the water

The easiest way to tame make a trap at your base then pick up with argue and put it in the trap

These things can be weak so don’t shoot them too much with tranqs otherwise they could die.

This thing is a floppy cute weird aquatic animal, found near water. Quite hard to find from my experience.

They are a bit glitched, many complaints said the one they where taming disappeared and as they where looking they found it floating high up into the sky.

I tamed this thing and it turns out I couldn’t ride a Diplocaulus underwater 😭😭😭My poor argy lost so many health grinding raw prime meat for it😭😭

These are one of my favorite creatures, in mobile they float in the air a few inches above water, pick them up with pteranodons to save them. They get killed very quickly. I can’t figure out how to breed them though.

A more non-conventional (but still affective) use of this animal would be scouting missions, their low profile makes them nearly invisible on a beach at night, and they are speedy enough in the water to make a fast escape. Note they can only be rode in the water

This Dino is very recommend to tame if you do not have scuba gear! This Dino is very weak in battle so be sure to stay away from anglers.

Be careful on dome servers. Torpidity drains quicker than food. Be ready to use narcotics if needed.

How to tame diplocalus

First you need a ptera. Bow or crossbow with trang arrow.

Pick diplocalus with ptera and bring it to a safe place.

Then knock it out

And feed it raw meat

And boom you have a diplocalus

Easiest way I’ve found to tame one is to build a box around the center of an obelisk and resurrect it since few to no hostile dinos spawn there to begin with

So easy figured I would use it to get pearls for trading has really good movement speed and is basically a rideable scuba gear
