What ever you do don't run up to it and punch it unlike his cousin the pteranodon he will fight back I learned the hard way I had tamed my first dino a moschops when I saw him landing on a big rock and since pteranodon don't attack when you hit them I thought I would be able to kill the dimorphodon but instead of me killing him he killed me he kept flying up biting me and flying away and so on until he ended up killing me😇

Up for the noobs to know

Make sure you have a spear ready when taming, I got killed by its pack members. And then they killed it when it tamed

Get a few tranq arrows, and snipe it while it's in the air and aim for the head and fire once or twice. Then feed it 2 meat and narcotics if you need to do other things. But I used my fists so it was unconscious.

These guys are literally one of the best early game tames. They don't have much health, but they do a lot of damage for a creature their size. It's also hard for baddies to get to them cuz they're small and they fly. All you have to do is find one crawling, (it's really hard to get one that's flying) and bola it, next knock it out with a club, then give it some meat and wait. You might need some narcoberries cause they don't stay unconscious for long.

Would not recommend fighting one of these even if you only see like one of them around you once you hit it thousands come out of nowhere and murder you

Get several high levels and Make them follow something such as a dodo, put them in a tall, open building on aggressive and drop wild dinos in the pin to level them up. And when war breaks out, make them follow a tank so they can knock flying people off their tames. (Idea from sl1pg8tor)

Getting overpowered isn’t hard. Just get 6-60 of these guys then rule ark.

If you are wondering whether to get these just know they are in my opinion one of the best in the game, I dont normally do reviews but these guys are insane, I was with 4 of these, all level 230s and encountered an alpha rex, these guys demolished it in a matter of minutes, all having around 2k health and 500 melee, they are incredible for cave runs especially swamp cave on rag, overall an amazing dino, best shoulder mount

Grab a tribe mate, bola it then knock it out and make sure to have your tribe mate watch your back, feed it meet and watch its torpor, now that you have one upgrade melee damage and health, and know you have an unstoppable killing machine.

DO NOT mess with these guys I’m writing this bc I just seen a dimorph kill a Lv 140 Rex I was trying to tame so uh,yeh that that your gonna die if you hit these without a flyer or spino.

I was on a hill and thought it wouldn’t hit me back when I attacked it so I hit it with a bow and everything was going well until I SEEN LIKE 5 MORE ARISE I was like “this is light work” until I realized that they do LOTS OF DAMAGE and they killed my dilo shortly after they killed me

Torpor runs out stupidly fast. It’s small and annoying. Make sure no other ones are around or else ☠️. Dont face it with 1 Dino if there are 25. My friends quetzal died to 50 or these. Don’t take one in the swamp. There are many in the swamp. Feed it meat normal meat or fish.

When taming you don’t want to tame the ones in a group.They are pretty easy tames if you don’t attack em in packs one tranc to the head and it’s out.It is neutral meaning it will only attack if you attack it.After you take a pack of these guys they can wine out slot of things.

I once tried to tame a lvl 300 allo but when I got back with bio toxin there were 100s of dimorphs that attacked it and killed it.

Having this guy on my shoulder saved me when a Thylo pounced me off my pt. Big damage.

Do not attack in groups when on tame they kill the driver before the Dino

If you hit one in north redwoods river on mobile all dimorphodons in ark history will come after you it will swarm your friends your family some guy down the street some guy in Africa and a alien on another planet so yeah don't pass them off :D

I used to hate these things, they killed my high level procoptodon.But when I decided to tame two, I fell in love with them. Derpy protectors. Low levels should definitely tame one thats alone!
