There good for in midgame incubation

For everyone else making a bronto army, a dimetrodon can incubate bronto eggs

Tame one female dimetridon because if you are raising baby spinos rexes Gigas or any other giant carnivore (medium size or small idk) there's a big chance of babies wanting dimetridon kibble and I know the some players problems is that dimetridon egg is hard to find from swamps and rivers so tame one female so it can lay eggs no need for male (unless for emergency kibble)

Side comment: I wish I had tame one sooner my spino just got 84 percent imprint :(

Good for egg hatching tho if you have many dimetridon (I'm an ark mobile player)

They are not Dino’s for they have spayed legs and are amphibious creatures that most likely lived before the dinosaurs and from what I hear is that they are small while the real ones were humongous creatures

To the person saying wild card should include special abilities on the info panel so they dont have to go to the tips section, this is an unofficial app, and it is not made or run by wild card.

If in primitive plus and using for incubation level only the melee this affects the amount of (air conditioner) hypo/hyperthermal insulation.

When tamed it acts as a incubator a nd if level up on melee it will be strong and if you tamed wild one and tamed it will be weak and eats meat

Whoever said the fact about dimetrodon being a lizard is lying to you. It’s actually a proto-mammal aka the ancestor of mammals like rats, dogs, bears, etc

This thing provides insulation buff - and is better than air con!

Air con = 100 insulation

Dimetro = 1 insulation per 1% melee damage

Ex. 300% melee dmg = 300 insulation

Plus, Dimetro is portable and doesn't require electricity!

Only problem is how difficult they are to tame...

That torpor drain needs to be nerfed.

Just tame a low level, low enough levels you can tame with prime meat.

Level melee for better insulation, same as otters.

One is enough to incubate an argy egg

Drop an egg near it : these lizards will hatch your eggs though it is too hot outdoors

Works like a otter increase melee damage for higher insulation

Will give like 6 or 4 prime meat i use this to tame phrogs on duo it gives 9

Per the wiki updated on August 7 2018 these amazing creatures potential to increase your egg incubation is boosted by increasing its melee damage. At 1000 melee damage it can incubate a wyrvn egg which requires 14 AC’s! Furthermore, this bonus can stack leading to a cheap and efficient hatching process without the need for power generation. On maps like Scorched Earth that have frequent storms these dinosaurs can be a literal life saver.
