Pfff I wound one lure it by honey and when I almost knocked out it disappear 🙄😒
Fast, Effective and Easy Taming Method (Starve Taming)-
1. Place a sleeping bag near your desired dimetrodon
2.Wait till night to sleep in it, clear out the area in the meanwhile (keep the prime meat you get, you’ll need it for later! Try storing it in a tame)
3. Once it’s morning, tranq out the dimetrodon and feed prime meat, no need for kibble this way because the dimetrodon will be so hungry it’ll tame in seconds!
Hope this helped! Spares you time and resources on getting a quetzal egg and making the kibble.
Mobile version sucks -_-
You can't carry em with an argy
I found most of these guys in swamp areas. Can be used to regulate temperature for incubation
When timing keep an eye on it.
These creatures needs alot of narcotics. When knocked out, wait for the torpor to drop. Then force feed narc (1 narc = 40 torpor). The torpor meter will slowly rise and give you time to do other things.
Also remember they need natural water in order to lay eggs. They cannot drown after a patch i belive
Wtf? Says can be picked up by an argy.Try it out on mobile.Cant even picked it up.nani.it is smaller than a iguanodon but u can't picked it up???
The dimetrodon is one of the few passive swamp creatures.
Use narcoberries, NOT narcotic. Torpor loss is paused while it's being gained, and berries cause torpor to rise much slower. It's the difference of being able to walk away for 10 minutes vs 2 minutes.
People say they arent nearly as good as air cons but if you have the right stats they can be much better. I believe on average you would need 8-12 air cons to hatch a wyvern egg, but my 4 dimetrodons with 350-400% melee can easily incubate wyvern eggs with no problem. I dont like working with electricity so its a nice alternative. (Plus theyre portable!) melee damage affects how well they act as air cons, so make sure you pump melee damage into them if you wish to incubate eggs. Theyre hard to tame but are worth it imo
I have found many of them inland on the lava island. 5-9 present at any point in time. Coord: 30,65 approx.
I was hoping to tame a gallimimus but then i needed dimetrodon kibble i check on dododex for taming and i find out i need quetzal kibble, a ton of quetzal kibble.
First i use slingshot club and wooden fountain fence to a wild male dimetrodon whin he's unconscious feed him some raw meat and soothing balm and huzzah i name him gordon to the base
These guys are hard to find because they sink into the mesh underwater. I recommend flying over the swamp with an argy looking for any signs of movement or sails. Sometimes they’ll be on the shores of the swamp, too, so check there.
Once you find one, pick it up (if you’re on an argy) and take it to a safer place. Otherwise, just kill any dangers in the area and chase it around with your tranq method of choice. Use their huge turning radius to avoid their bites.
Once tamed, level melee to increase their insulation. Good luck!
