These guys are hard to find because they sink into the mesh underwater. I recommend flying over the swamp with an argy looking for any signs of movement or sails. Sometimes theyβll be on the shores of the swamp, too, so check there.
Once you find one, pick it up (if youβre on an argy) and take it to a safer place. Otherwise, just kill any dangers in the area and chase it around with your tranq method of choice. Use their huge turning radius to avoid their bites.
Once tamed, level melee to increase their insulation. Good luck!

For the love of god tame these on double xp and only tame low lvls
You can only use his incubation ability in the day time.
Historically dimetrodons used there large sails to absorb heat and warm them selves up due to them being cold blooded
They should also be much bigger.

Be prepared to sit and tame for a very long time. They use up a lot of narcotics so you don't have much time to look away from the inventory
If you ever read this before taming one bring LOADS of narcotics or bio toxin it's torpor goes out Very fast, faster than a compys!
Do you wanna tame this thing? Here a tip! Bring LOTS and I mean LOTS of narcotics preferably bio toxin, this thing at like 1000 of my bio toxin and so I left it for 10 seconds and it woke up and took like 2 stacks of meat and so always remember your gazillion bio toxin
Amount of narcs used is not correct, a lot more was required.
Just a few tips: 1: Make sure to when taming bring lots of narcotics. They have high torpor but drain super fast. 2: If you can definitely use some sort of flyer or cryopod that can carry this because it is super slow. 3: Works as an air conditioner and gets better temperatures by upgrading melee.
