These creatures are usually underestimated and looked over. Taming these at early game can be a life-saver, as they can gather more meat and hide for you easier. In packs they are very dangerous. Dilos are good for body guards, hunting, carrying, and can be turrets encumbered and on aggressive lol

Dilo's can be irritating to die to early game, but honestly they're a worthwhile tame, I have five that follow me on ventures, and their spit combined with their speed, especially at higher numbers, has defied some serious odds and taken down more dangerous dino's than themselves

The only uses are companion ship, hunting, and a battle tame cause they'll spit at the enemy slowing it down

They've won the battle as long as

1. They spit first

2. Their foes is lower level than the dilo (Doesn't matter with passive herbivores)

3. Their foe isnt late game creature such as brontos theriz or carno or something like that.

They can be very useful to kill moschops, parasaurs and such sort since their spit stuns them allowing you to kill it before it can flee. Do tame raptors asap though since raptor pounce can neutralize a single dilo. Unless you have a pack. Dilos have crap stats and health is useless so pump health so that they live till the end of the battle. Good for hide and meat early game but A raptor is just better....

I love this little sh*ts. We had a guy wearing flak and an assault rifle attack our low level tribe where I tamed a swarm of these, they blinded him, kept blinding him. This allowed us and our other tames to kill him effortlessly and take all his stuff. Level up movement speed health and damage to maximize their potential

To be honest its a pretty good starter dino for simple hunting but to start killing the big guys you need to get a few dimorphodon's.

Since they breed faster, packs grow faster than raptors

Iguanodon and 5 dilos may be a cool hunting idea

The greatest Dinos ever for early game meat shields. Simply attack my target on the offending rex and run!

They make good pack animals if you level up their weight. And I think, since they're so easy to tame, you could tame a bunch and take out something biggish, but you would need a lot. They are weak on health but I guess you could level that up too.

Tame 4-6 of them put them on neutral or your target set em in wander and boom you have “base protection”

Dilos at so good definitely 1st thing you should tame

Okay, so early on I tamed a large pack (I've got 9 of them right now) and they attacked and killed a a Titanaboa and a pack of Trodons while I was unconscious. Love them!

I tame about 11 at the start of the game (super easy to tame use a club tho risky cus it might kill but it cost like nothing) I could take on any threats and you can just put them next to you base, forget about them, couple days later you have a level 50 Dilo pumped up in health and meele and I could take on a sarco (with my help) also the eggs can be used for very useful kibble wich anky, doed, and pachy wich are very useful from start to end game creatures PLEASE upvote so people and starters can see

These are beefy bois and take 2 to 3 meat to tame I personally have 6 of the bad boys and the shred things almost immediately depending on the level

They are noble watchguards who can be a beast when it comes to hunting in packs. I’ve seen these dudes kill a full pack of raptors. Low level raptors, though.

If you're a fresh spawn and playing solo or with one friend, level yourself up until you can make bolas, tame a two or three of these and take them out with you at all times, they make good guard dogs and will harvest plenty of meat and hide early on for just yourself or you and your friend

I had 30 of theses level 234+ helped me kill a tickle chicken level 85 strength in numbers like zombies they swarm their prey not one died just da chicken

Severely underrated but at high levels around 1000 health just pump melee and speed and you have an army

-tame a bunch of dilos

-level them up a bit

-slash everything on the island that hasn't knockback or a fast attack (u can kill pretty much everything that is not a fast big carnivore)
