Like a dog, dumb, yet clever, if you have a dog you should know
Oh, how to explain my relationship with this creature this creature is a absolute pain in my ass, but also somewhat cute to me and was the first ever meat eating dinosaur I tamed do I hate the Dilophosaurus half so what I recommend this team for others yeah if you’re desperate
2 stegos ganged up on my dilophosaurus called Pea Shooter came back with a level 200 rex with 800 melee and killed everything because they killed my Peashooter!!! R.I.P PeaShooter you will be missed
Fun fact these guys are twice the size of a polar bear
Fun fact these guys are twice the size of a polar bear.
If only these were based on actual Dilophosaurs not the Jurassic Park ones. Itd be bigger, meaner, and scarier. Probably comparable to a carno in stats, only faster.
I highly recommend this tame they are more loyal then anything else on this earth they will attack anything you attack or what attacks you even if it's a giga or a Rex they will protect you with their lives and will protect your tames
Real life fact:
Diliphosaurs in Ark are rather inaccurate. They were inspired off of the Dilophosaur in Jurassic Park. In real life Dilophosaurs were way larger, about the size of an Ark raptor or even bigger. Also, it didn’t have the neck frill that opens when the Dilophosaur is about to spit it’s venom. Speaking of venom, this dinosaur didn’t spit venom, nor what’s it in any way venomous. It was basically a slower raptor.
Btw, the name „Dilophosaur“ means „Two-crested-lizard“ because of the two crests on it’s head. The exact use of these crests in unknown, but the most known theories are:
-(unlikely) the crests were used to fight over territory or females in headbutting contests
-(rather likely) the crests were used to attract mates
Early gamer: love hate rivalry. Simple as that
Currently running around with 9 of these, they're pretty dangerous to anything I want meat out of. I've not been hungry in so long my character forgets what berries taste like
I like to make armies with them, they can be so dangerous! I love them They’re like dogs.
We’ve all been new to ark, and these things are always a pain. But when you craft that spear, it’s game over
Taming a high level dilo is actually quite ez
Step 1. Spawn at South 2. After gathering resources, kill the nearby jellyfish for bio toxin.
Step 2. Craft a few wooden bats. You’ll need them.
Step 3. Find a high level dilo. They are quite common in the Southern Parts of the map.
Step 4. Attack the dilo with the bay while keeping your distance. Those things pack a punch.
Step 5. After it is knocked out, feed it all the gathered meat got while using the bio toxin to keep it uncouncious.
Step 6. After a long while, the Dilo will be tamed. High level dilos are useful for keeping other dinos at bay, from raptors and sarcoma to low level rexes.
Is it me or is it to easy to get these ? Like I've been able to tame these with just my fist
Early in the game, aim to build a whole army of these. They will protect you from raptors, kaproschus (idk how to spell), and almost all creatures in ark. Invest heavily in their health, and then their melee. One up, one more tip for every creature, with each more descriptive than the last.
