Jumping on the back of a crystal wyvern to tame it can be frustrating, as they are difficult to mount because of their height.

First, try approaching from the rear and hop on the tail. If you succeed, carefully creep up between the shoulder blades where the ride is most stable. Being further back on the tail or near the wings can cause a more likely fall. (Don't forget your parachutes!)

The easier option is to use a mount (like another wyvern)... to approach the tame and easily hop on it for the taming ride...set your own wyvern to FOLLOW and PASSIVE, SO THAT YOU DONT LOSE IT AND IT DOESNT INTERFERE WITH THE TAME. Good luck!

Use a daedon to raise baby crystal wyvern. Let food go down to zero. Wait till health drops low and use a daedon (left trigger on xbox) to raise it back up. The food and health levels drop slowly. After you use the daedon, it will eat all the food in the troughs, do you should fill its inventory with meat asap.

To the guy that posts the tip to grapple its neck, he is wrong. The grapple will do Argo and if that doesn’t kill you, if agrees it can’t be tamed.

FYI...crystal wyvs WILL EAT WHATEVER CRYSTAL's in its inventory if there's no meat (yes, that includes PRIMAL) so...be sure to have some raw meat in its inventory BEFORE transferring PRIMAL crystal in to it to preserve it or else...*nom,nom*...and you're now short on crystal for your perfect tame.

Never done it before but you can grapple on it using a cross bow and feed it while it is flying. Al long as you done hit it and the line doesn't snap you will be good

You can tame these very easily using normal crystals. Jump on their back and go prone between the shoulder blades and they wont buck you off when they take flight. Then just spam E.

They can be tamed easily without harming the wyvern by stepping/ jumping onto its back from another wyvern or flyer. You can enjoy a nice ride while taming it and best thing is you don’t miss a single feed or have to go around chasing or searching for it. Best done with a glider suit on for those very occasional falls.

Guys it's a passive tame with crystal or primal crystal but primal is a lot better. It is a very easy tame to get you can get at beginner level. Up this for the noobs

Tranq the it, harvest the crystal from it then run like hell or just place sleeping bag close by and let it kill you when it wakes. Put food last slot. Jump on back lay down between wings gg 100% tame efficiency for crystal wyverns.

So when they land and are walking around you can jump into their back. Like glitch into them and then probe and feed them. They'll take off and as long as you dont move you can keep giving them crystal. I almost finished one but ran out of crystals

You can raise these on 3x with no food till fully grown adult. No food necessary. They hatch with enough food to not die. They will eat a ton once grown but as long as it's 3x or higher you dont need any food. If you're worried you can heal them at the end with a snow owl and just watch their health.

Yall are making this too difficult. Wait until a high level gets stuck in some trees. Quicly put a dino gate behind it, then one in front. Back up, tranq it. Take crystals, go out of agro range. Come back, ot should be awake and still trapped. Go up to it and feed it. Just did a level 130 that way, ended up a 194 even using a few basic crystals. First one I've tamed.

If ur trying to get primal crystal for ur baby crystal wyvern just trap a crystal wyvern and farm it’s crystals all u have to do is stay in range and I’m pretty sure they won’t despawn

You can feed them crystals to tame them without having to find their eggs, Help spread the word!

Do Do Dex says that this thing is endgame… Straight Cap. I tamed on of these as my first tame on Crystal Isles. All you need is crystals it’s not like another wyvern where you need an argy and turrets you just need to shove a thing of crystal up it. w BEGGINNER TAME. No hate towards the do do dex but this is just a slight flaw

Have a crossbow with grappeling hooks, extra food and water on your hot bar and crystal in your last slot.

Find the wyvern and shoot it in the head with the grappeling hook. Feed it crystal and when it fly's off reel in close to it and keep feeding it until its tamed. Peace out boyeeeee!!!

Crystal Wyverns are PASSIVE TAME and BREEDABLE!! This is a great new feature glad they're changing some things up a bit.

Can tame with Primal Crystal or plain crystal for decreased efficiency. Babies will only eat primal crystal until juvenile, then they'll eat meat from trough.

To get Prime crystal easy. Jump on tge back of a wyvern, and place a dino gate infront of it then turn around and place 1 behind.

It should be blocked in.

Start shooting tranqs and wait till its KO.

Then run over and grab the prime crystal.

Higher level = more prime crystal

If eggs aren't spawning use the ghost cheat to look in the ground or you can activate ghost and fly and just fly around util some eggs spawn because sometimes they still dont spawn eggs, even if your out of the render distance. I was waiting and flying around for three hours looking for eggs but as soon as I flew around with ghost one practically spawned in front of me

When taming be careful if you have another wyvern following you because sometimes the two wyverns will touch and your wyvern might accidentally knock you off.
