Crystal Wyverns are passively tamed by climbing onto their back near the shoulders and feeding them crystal from the last inventory slot. Stay prone and centered while they fly, and bring a flyer on follow plus a parachute or glider in case you fall. For Primal Crystal, you can safely trap and knock out a wyvern to harvest it before beginning the tame.
