When raising crystal wyvrens, you really only need to feed them once. Once they’re good is at the 60s (they loose 0.1food every 5 seconds), put them in a cryopod (just in case they starve) and go get some primal crystal. Once you have it, it’s best to transfer off asap so it don’t spoil. Once back at your base, feed it all the crystal. It should eat 5 pieces, I gave mine 6 out of 7 for good measure. Really the only hard thing about them is getting the temperature right. Overall, easier than raising a para

Go to crystal isles there’s normally a trap right by the Wyvs cliff so you can easily nock out and steal crystal best to get primal crystal in weekends when it’s 2x or 3x

The tropical wyvern gets a boost on the coast like the spinosaur

They are all much faster than the normal wyvern a but the turning to me feels much worse

They are all around good mounts

You can get on the back of thw wyvern and tame it from there so it is more easier.

Tropical Wyverns get a speed boost when above water. Use this in races.

Stats are kinda bad compared with the normal wyvern. It does make up for the fact that they are really easy to tame. Just wait until they come down to the ground to feed them or use a grappling hook (it's a neutral dino so don't attack it!). They are also breedable. A must have when it comes to exploring the map or fighting other dinos (not a boss. level them before fighting bigger units)

If you use a high level megalania you can quickly knock these guys out and harvest the crystals off of them

Why are these things so easy to tame

Has anyone tried this, knocking out a wyvren with narcotic traps and if possible, then harvesting the primal crystal.

I tried the thing that everybody is saying to do it was to grapple on to them and just keep feeding and feeding and feeding and feeding and they never stop as I was saying I grappled it and it bit me and I died I mean it might still work ( probably bc I grappled it’s near it’s head)

Either something is messed up with my dodo dex or the amount of crystals it takes is wrong

The tranq numbers listed here are miles off. Needed 50 for a level 50 at 6 second intervals with a mastercraft rifle.
