There are 3 tipes of them, tropical ( water) this one stays at the archipelago, the blood, thay can be found on the center of the map, and the ember ( fire) that can be found on the side of the volcano

I've been seeing all these people say jump on a crystal wyverns back to passive tame, and bring parachutes. Did anyone forget about grappling hooks?

If you are doing PVP, the tropical is a D.O.T user and useful for picking because the breath uses less stamina than the others. Blood crystal wyverns are tanks, but only if they have decent health damage and stam. Ember crystal wyverns are just portable manual turrets that have d.o.t and a rage meter that increases the breaths d.o.t and initial damage

I would get one of these as soon as you can. They’re very quick and reasonably strong for how easy they are to get

Crystal Isles: These can be found in the desert highlands with the giant mountain. They consist of; Ember, Tropical, and Blood. Tropical wyverns are a passive tame with Crystal and can be found in the beach region.

Valguero: Only ice wyverns And Fire Exist on this map and can be found in a trench in the arctic region. If you go down to a cave in the ice part of the trench, there will be an opening to the fire area.

Ragnarok and Scorched: Can be found in a trench in a specific part of the map. I would use a griffin for their dive bomb or a Petra with good steam so you can do a few barrel rolls to get away.

There is three types of crystal wyvern with their own alphas blood,tropical,and ember tyou can passively tame each one with normal crystal, or get the highest taming effect with primal crystal which you get from killing an alpha, like so this will be at the top for all to see

Some numbers for those interested in potentially breeding these guys; Melee mutations have a gain of 11.8%~ per, Health of 392.5 per, and stamina of 32.5 per. From playing with Blood Wyverns their lifeleech on their breath attack is tied to their health stat and not their melee stat, capping out at 35 healing per second at 10k or better health. Their lifeleech based on eating corpses however is 50% of their bite force (not affected by mate boost bonus but it is boosted by trained melee stat). For numbers of what stat capped looks like (254 points so training is available), health sits at 50k~ before imprint, melee at 1580%~ before imprint.

In my opinion crystal wyverns are the quickest and best flyer for the start of the game.

A good way to tame the primal shards is to set up a large bear trap with some honey in the middle then when he comes to the trap put a stone dinosaur gateway around its neck and then run around the back of it and place a second gateway as close to the other as possible. Do this quickly as it will break out.

If your going on primal crystal runs with a crystal wyvern, MAKE SURE IT ALREADY HAS FOOD! Otherwise it will eat the primal crystal you store in its inventory! (Learned this the hard way)

So i was on crystal isles in creative mode and found that big volcano with a blood crystal wyvern. I killed it and looked for the egg, but it was gone! Please tell me where it is if you know. -Boa
