So far wyverns are the trend online again. Everyone is breeding wyverns and getting insane stats on them. The wild one's are now being hunted for sport (experience points). And it has made maps like valguro and Ragnarok almost impossible to get wyverns by the nest tactic again. The reason why is because they put wyverns in the same spawn category as everything else. The wyvern Caves on most of the servers I've seen don't have any dragons around anymore. Which means no eggs for anyone else. They need to put special Dinosaurs/Creatures in a separate spawn category. Wyverns shouldn't be unable to spawn because there is too many common dinos running around.
More Crystal Wyvern Utility Tips
Tropical wyverns spawn near the beach and have a water buff, like the spino, blood wyverns spawn in the forest that has red trees and also the red trees can give charcoal and blood wyverns can drain life from other creatures/ tames/ people and give your blood wyvern health if it is hurt at all. Ember crystal wyverns just breathe fire, blood and ember crystal wyverns are better for pvp. I recommend, if you have it, use the bone wyvern skin so they can’t tell what type of crystal wyvern it is. Good luck on taming them! (I play on Xbox so I can’t tame them :( )
To get Primal Crystals, you must knock out a Crystal Wyvern and harvest Primal Crystals off their back. Once you’ve harvested once, it’ll take about an hour for the Crystal Wyvern to "recharge" and allow you to harvest more.
The number of Primal Crystals that you can harvest from a Crystal Wyvern increases with its level. A level 1 produces 2 Crystals, and it increases by 2 at roughly every 7 or 8 levels.
Lvl 1: 2 Primal Crystals
Lvl 10: 4
Lvl 20: 6
Lvl 30: 8
Lvl 40: 12
Lvl 50: 14
Lvl 100: 28

Lvl 300: 80
Lvl 400: 108
The Crystal Wyvern has an extremely high torpor depletion rate — one of the highest in the game — so it will not remain knocked out for long. You might consider trapping it in a cage so that you can harvest it again later.
