Tips & Strategies

What are tips for cosmo? Tips and strategies for cosmo in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Taming Cosmo can be a blast. But make sure to have Chitin ready on hand! To tame a cosmo
1. Make sure the area is clear of any potential threats.
2. Crouch near the Cosmo
3. When the Cosmo lights up start heading towards it, but be careful, as soon as it turns to red, stop dead. Otherwise you will be webbed.
4. Red light, Green light until it’s tamed!
Enjoy and Have Fun!
Babies eat all kind of seeds, not only Z. But they eat alot!
It is a passive tame it’s favorite thing to eat is the plant Z seed
The number of swings you get corresponds directly to the level no other stat. Charge capacity and charge regeneration affect the web shooter. Melee affect how much damage the web shooter does. So for min/max Mobility, I would recommend leveling weight just so that the spider can help you carry more in its own inventory for combat I would recommend leveling may lay damage in combination with charge regeneration
Cosmo can be found in the green zone, I've had the best luck near the fertile lake. Creature finder mods help, as these things are tiny. To tame, approach it with chitin in your inventory. Wait until it starts to glow, then passively feed it chitin or plant species z seeds. (Z seeds are the best). Once tamed, you can put it on your shoulder and turn it into an item. To swing, equip cosmo item and enjoy. Webs recharge automatically, and from my experience capacity can not be leveled but can increase the higher level the tame. (Level 25 was about 20 capacity, and level 100 was about 40)
Before you try to tame it get a bunch of chitin, and put it in your last slot. The first feed will be easy (with the exception of the fire cats). Next you must approach it after it runs, but only if the light isn't red. If the light is red and you move then it'll web you and lose taming progress. It's basically just red light green light.
Have chitin in your inventory, it doesn't have to be in hot bar. Cosmos will come up to you, light up and dance. Feed species z seed for fast tame!
Need chitin and it's a red-light green-light taming method
To tame a cosmo you will need a light pet and chitin, and it will want you to play red light green light with it. When it is red you will need to stop when it's white you run to it and feed it chitin and keep doing it until it is tamed.
Have chitin in your inventory, feed it plant species z seed
How to tame: PASSIVE
1. As far as i know rn, it only eats chitin!
2. Find one and wait for him to do a little dancey dance (will also glow white)
3. Feed him, and he will then start running and hopping around
3. This is when it turns into red light green light, follow him and once he glows red STOP, you can look around, but don’t move, once he begins to glow white then sprint for him
4. When you get close enough and he is glowing white you can feed him again
5 Repeat until tamed :)
Notes: He will run every time you feed him, and if you don’t stop on time when he turns red he just runs again, and you just wait for him to glow white, also if you get close enough to him but he switches to red, just wait for him to go back white (you can only feed him and move around when he’s white), the tame bar also doesn’t drop very fast, you would need to mess up a lot for it to drop lol, hopefully this all makes sense!
Babies will eat raw meat, the narcotic type black mushrooms , and both species x and z seeds
Baby cosmo eat Aserbic mushroom (the narco ones)! Meat WILL starve them.

Z seeds work best, but anyone who says to use chitin is WRONG. Narco mushrooms are better than chitin.
Passive tame! Feed chitin and play red light green light until tamed. After each game you have to feed him chitin and he’ll run and turn red or green. Red means stop green means go. Run to him on green. Make it to him and feed that simple
