WARNING!! Be very careful swinging around with this cute little guy. He can run out of webs and drop you somewhere you definitely do not want to be in. When you're falling IMMEDIATELY after a swing, you don't take fall damage, but if you bump into a cliff or tree on the way down, you once again are at the mercy of the Ark gods.

I made a new discovery after I posted my WARNING!!! post. When you're falling with Cosmo, if you shoot at the ground directly beneath you before you hit it, it'll act like a pillow and give you a soft landing! No more worrying about fall damage with this cute little guy!

So why does it say cosmo can't fit through a behemoth dino gateway, or anything else for that matter.

Cosmo is an unreleased creature in Ark Survival Ascended. It is expected to appear on the upcoming Aberration map. Cosmo is a shoulder-mounted spider that is scared of players and will run away when it sees them. A tamed Cosmo can:

1. Scare off enemy creatures with its light.

2. Replace the grappling hook and possibly move like a Bloodstalker (though this is uncertain).

3. Dance.

Overall, it’s a good replacement for Sinomacrops, as they have very similar abilities. This information may not be accurate, as the spider is not yet released. The tentative release date is September 4, 2024.

On console R1 to ascend and L3 to descend

The webs can be switched between charged and non charged

NOTE CHARGED DOES NOT INFLICT ANY SORT OF AOE CHARGE AREA ONLY CREATURE SHOT WITH WEB GETS CHARGE

For this reason it’s good for fighting reapers

When on shoulder it is equipped as a web slinger in inventory or hot bar

Web capacity is dependent on level swing uses more than shoot

It has no charge light

Webs regen over time

Cosmo has a charge web that can be enabled.

If he is in attack mode on your shoulder, or on your arm and shooting mode, they will electrify a reaper if hit making them run away, clearing the playing field for you wild farming surface drops

Eggs from cosmo count as small eggs

If u switch to shooter mode you can use it as a whip to whip dinos or even pick up Stuff on the ground like a normal whip

A fact about this thing is that after a short period after not using webs I think around five seconds unless you collide with something your immune to fall damage but after that it the fall will kill and (for pc only) using right click while in swing mode it uses 2-3 webs and gives you a small boost can only be used once tho and you have to swing before doing it again

Of all this wonderful 8 legged friendly neighborhood super hero’s abilities. The ability to use WHIP UNDER WATER, is invaluable uproot for value. Xoxo
