Encountering Tips

How do I kill a compy? compy battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These irritating mother flippers can slaughter you if your not prepared
Use a torch sets them on fire also too expensive to tame
Even tho they can kill someone's literal pet they are actually easy to kill
They quickly lose interest when you go into the water
I personally call them land demons. My advice is to take your dilophosaurs!
Do do do do do... just walking along a beach, looking for a ichthy, hoping the megalodon isn’t still there... important thinking, right? See some compies... curse those annoying brats. They are the easiest kill, and I’m hearing they need PRIME MEAT for a tame?! They’d get killed in any battle they fought, so why such a hard tame?
Absolutely love these little gremlins. They like to come ip to you and stare at you for a moment, then attack when the pack is assembled. THEY ONLY EAT REALLY QUALITY MEAT! Also, the babies are, like, microscopic, so I’ve had several cases of one escaling out the door and never seeing it again (then getting a “Coraline, Lv. 6 (Compy) died!” notice a few minutes later :(), so if you must breed them, make sure you have TONS of prime meat (which spoils VERY FAST) and make sure the babies stay in a secure location because they are FAST. My favorite thing to do is have a pack of, like, 20 folowing me around and watch as they take down a Raptor nearly effortlessly. Hilarious (also, VENGEANCE >:)).
This idiot really thought he could stand a chance by attacking my level 225 carcha
Go literally anywhere most preferably the beach where you'll find them attacking a beach Bob for no apparent reason.
Although their small stats may make you heavily underestimate them, don't be fooled. These little guys rely on confusing you, and are very small and hard to hit. In high leveled groups with lots of members, they can be extremely deadly early game. For dealing with the annoying groups, just use a torch. If you cannot beat them, and they are overpowering you, I can help. A strategy I've found works is probing (default key X) under a large creature with a neutral temperature, preferably a herbivore with a large hitbox on its body and attacks (a Triceratops would be perfect). This may result in you being hit, but the Trike will kill off all the Compies, giving you time to run, or collect their spoils.
These things won’t attack you if your feet are in water 😂
A megapiranha with legs that gets a pack bonus brilliant! But they do make good pets
Got SOOO annoying over by the area on the island where the west coast and the southern jungle meet. They travel in packs most of the time. The worst place to encounter at is the rocky areas. If your character is getting damaged and you don't know what it is, look down and around your legs, there possibly will be a pack of four or less. They run off when they are damaged to where they are at 30 health or less, then they come back, so you have to pay attention to where they run off to. You don't want to encounter a group of them if you're already at low health, trust me.
You can tame to git small egg and make kibble
So if ya'll didn't know compies are supposed to have venom that puts you to sleep so we lucky they didn't ad that to the game. And compies are curious and friendly like itchyosuarus but when they group up they get aggro you know like mean girls.
They’re found on coasts and rivers they are a nuisance but in packs they can be dangerous especially if you are just starting.
your always gonna find these buggers somewhere in the worst time ( like being chased by a therisno).
You either make a compy army or defeat a compy army
You can one shot it with lvl 20 or higher lvl weapon I one shoted it with longneck rifle
You’ll hear this adorable screeching sound and see a cute little dino following you around, oh and then he invites a friend to follow you around too, ANOTHER ONE? Bam. You’re dead.
They’re harmless until they become in groups of three or larger.
