What are tips for coelacanth? Tips and strategies for coelacanth in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
You can't tame this fish it is untamable
Just kill them with a f**** hatchet for fish meat.
i have no clue how to tame some help on the island?
Guys, if you are planning to run a cave tame a water, Dino, like a Barry, sarco, or even kapro and start farming these guys most K runner, YouTube videos, will say to bring cooked meat, but cooked fish meat will heal five health and will say 10 points hunger. If you were to eat two cooked fish meat, you would gain 10 health with two health points, more than eating one cooked normal meat, it will also fill you slightly slower, allowing for your health which can be vital in some cases like temperature threat rooms

Literally useless. It will not help you with anything. Go ahead if you like fish. But again, useless
Trap coels in a fish basket, then cryo the fish. Keep them cryoed until you want to tame a shadow, then make another fish basket, release them from the cryo and trap them again. Put the fish basket in your hot bar and submerge yourself to reset their timer. No wasting fish baskets. Get lots of fungal wood to make more baskets as they will destroy after you "tame".

This fish is so harmless it won’t eat a fly and also it will not kill u in one hit
Tame method. Fish basket
The Truth About Coelacanth Fishes
Coelacanth Fishes only use their Tsunami Attack when u get close 2 their breeding spot, and it's not long-range, it's short range. Plus, it barely hurts. A lvl 200 Giganotosaurus can kill a coelacanth in only 1 hit, u guys got it backwards for coelacanth fishes. The coelacanth fishes do not eat sacrifices, they eat fish baskets. Their extremely small breeding area is located at the bottom of the ocean, and 1, you'll probably run out of oxygen down their, but you'll run into Ichthyosaurus, and where Ichthyosaurus spawn, theirs Megalodons. Like for more information on fishes!!
Be careful these things are lethal and go to one shot you like they did my Megalodon
Don’t listen to any other tips they are lies. You have to make a fish basket out of thatch Fiber and fungal wood. Then you place it near the coelacanth and stay near the basket and soon everything will pop up that says capture coelacanth. That will automatically pick up your basket into your inventory and all you have to do is place it and you have a coelacanth! But don’t waste your time taming them because you can’t do anything with them but name them.
At first glance, they seem harmless, until you attack them. You better run, because millions of them will form together into a form that is stronger than titanosaurs. In order to tame one of these, it's somewhat similar to taming a titan. I'd recommend using a quetzal with a platform saddle. First, use Gigas or lots of rexes to lower it's heal to below 50%. After this, it's attacks will be a lot more dangerous and faster, however you can shoot it with Canon balls. This is what the quetzal is for. Put canons on there and start blasting. Depending on the level it will take varying amounts of Canon balls, but bring at least 100. Once you have knocked it out, you will need a TON of extraordinary kibble. Oh, and if you thought a giga's torpor dropped fast, you'll be surprised to see this fish's torpor drain. Bring a TON of biotoxin, and make sure you have no life, but since we're playing ark that's pretty easy. You'll wanna watch it because of the torpor, but it also takes a long time to tame. Don't worry about things attacking it while it's knocked, however. After this you will be the alpha of your server if you manage to tame one of these. While they don't have saddles, they take a 85% damage reduction from all attacks. Use it's main attack for an insanely powerful bite attack, while it's second attack shoots a water beam that makes wyverns look like dodo's.
Just get a fishing trap and set it near one in a river or ocean floor careful tho piranhas and salmon tend to break these traps but the coelacanth is just a fish that you can farm easily but to finish trapping one u need to press triangle for PlayStation or E for PC on the trap when one is near the trap a common way to do this is to confine the fish in a box full of traps this is an effective way to tame them I hope you found this helpful
With trading these guys becoming more popular, never forget you can use a patchy rhino pheromones to attract them to your already placed basket! Also use a tribemate as bate with pheromone darts ;)
If you want to ko it then look in small rivers that connect to the sea those are tiny and very weak
The minute you come for one megapirahnas attack you so be careful
