Tips & Strategies

The absolute most powerfull sea dwelling animals, can one shot megs and destroy entire packs of piranhas. To tame, you will need at the VERY LEAST a level 200 quetz with loads and loads of points on weight, a quetz platform saddle, at least 45 cannons and a minimum of 300 cannon balls. Due to its long ranged tsunami attack, you will have to fire your cannons from very far away, make sure you never lose sight of the Coelacanth. The knock out part usually takes about 2-3 hours, the taming will take around 12-13. You will have to feed the coelacanth tames, 1 tamed giga sacrifice will increase its taming meter by 0.1%, and you will have to wait 10 minutes for the next sacrifice to come. Do this over and over and over and you have yourself a tame Coelacanth.
Heres a funny story. I had a pet fish named BOWSER we went everywhere together. By the water of course. But one day I found a dilo and he destroyed BOWSER. So I shot him with my shotgun and declared war on silos. RIP BOWSERπ
Don't tame near water or it will drown
"It is virtually worthless in terms of both power and speed. It is the most weak and pathetic PokΓ©mon in the world."
If you see these animals you better run away cuz these thing can kill titanosuars. to tame you must acquire 300 rocket launcher ammo and shoot the monsters head. After about 278 rocket launcher hits in the head It will be nocked out. To tame you have to feed it extraordinary kibble but I recommend not cuz it will take 400 of that. It will be better to feed it artifacts. Best artifact to use is artifact of the immune.
Coelacanth the water type pokemon, known for it's small size and outstanding power this pokemon can destroy any creature in its path by launching like a torpedo and exploding on contact, considered to be a WMD by the Canadian and US military
Coelacanths take up spawn points for other river-swelling creatures, so if you are having trouble finding otters and spinosaurs, kill some fish.
saw one about half the size of my sarco, the size range of these things are insane
Look into the blue deep.
Tell me, what do you see?
I've got no defense,
Nor a bite, hence
I'm a likley victim of the sea.
... It's the Magikarp of Ark, what did you expect? ~CL1

Run if you see the fish it can kill a giganotosaurus
This thing is deadly, was moving my Rex's across the river then found 3 feeds "Your t-rex has been killed by a coelacanth"... F for Johnny, ham, wom.
If you actually wanna tame one of these, I believe you need a fish basket
I saw one at 0.1% size. Find smaller than that, you get my giga. It was tiny
easy to kill these guys with a sickle
Find it in the river, kill it and there you go, drag its dead corps around and enjoy :) ( until it decomposes )
Literally the ark version of magikarp..... oh yeah btw it doesn't evolve
Tamable using fish baskets from aberration.
All the others are joking about this being powerful. It's just a fish. It can't hurt you. So just bring up your hatchet and smash them in the face. And no, they're untamable unless you have the dlc thingy.
I had an army of force tamed Coelacanth, they dominate the oceans. They killed other Coelacanths. They were awesome π. Satisfied.
