If you have some difficulties to find them, you can hunt by night and with a raft, as they are phosphorescent they are easyer to recognise and to aim.

If your mount has high health let it attack it while you swim away grab a pike and stab it to death

So, fun fact, they have a shorter range than a pike or spear. So you can just swim backward while stabbing them to save your megalodons, sarcos and other stupid tames.

It says the won’t attack you unless you’re “in close proximity to them” but in reality you will see it move away to tame something and by the time you knock it out it is already too late.

Always watch out for these when you are swimming as that will stun you so you can’t fight and killl you and your Dino if your riding one

Well there is a glitch where it will come on land and hurt or kill everyone you love.i was walking on the beach with my adolescent Dodey jr.(Dodo), I decided to take a walk on the beach,I saw a threat(jelly b####rd)so I came at it with my pike,I hit it came on land,mudered Dodey jr. then died(😭✌️R.I.P.)

All you have to do to kill one is stand on the shore with a bow or crossbow and shoot them make sure you stay out of the water while shooting them. Yeet.

Cnidaria stun for 5 seconds at a time which leaves you with a 1 second window to get in an attack so IF one grabs you, face it and hold down your attack button with pike or sword equipped and hope you can kill it before it kills or knocks you out. When fighting a swarm of them, the stun effect overlaps and you’re SOL. DON’T FIGHT MORE THAN 2 AT A TIME.

Wanna get biotoxin without risking your Dinos? Find a school of these and get close enough to hit with a crossbow and aggro them - they’ll slowly swim closer. Draw them to a shore where you can stand and see them on the surface then shoot them with a gun. Once dead, check and make sure you didn’t miss any then harvest them with your axe. Gives about 15-18 biotoxin per jelly. Biotoxin spoils in an hour on you, 4hrs in a dino and 8 in preserving bin. Good luck!

Their biotoxins make great narcotics, but spoil. Put them in your fridge. Or, preserving bin. If your more early game than that then you don't need this tip.

STAY AWAY FROM THE SQUISHIES. they will shred your armor, drain your health, kill your dino, all while you are stunned and watching them kill you. To kill, grab a basilo or crossbow and light em' up!

I was having a nice day with my High level fire wyvern killing everything .and for some dumb reason I wanted to see if it could swim , so I went deeperand got thrown off and I was like why would you f*cking throw me off in the ocean and I saw these things and i jumped ‘ in dead , I’m dead , I’m dead’ ... Don't encounter it. If you do, swim like micheal phelps!!! Its nothing but a ball of hate and death. If you see them in the vacinity of anything your farming, keep ur head on a swivel, dont get tunnel vision. They have a way of sneaking up from behind and always in groups. If they catch you...death is guaranteed.

When your tame is being attacked, whistle it to follow and swim far away. It should break free. Also make sure it's on passive so it won't try to fight back but rather get away trying to follow u.

Be very careful if you see a swarm of these on the surface. I was on my raft with my 193 raptor and 140 baryonyx when we got ambushed by a sarco on our way back between bases. Knocked us out of the raft and into the water where they fought it until a swarm of jellies came in and killed everyone. Fuck. These. Things.
