If you see them in the water, always go deal with them first...otherwise you choose the path of pain...

If you didn't deal with them first, they can stun you and/or your tame...

If you have good weaponry, you can fight them head-on to protect your tame...

If you turned and ran to shore and your tame died, you've only got yourself to blame...

One survivor lv20 or above with a long reach weapon is enough to take care of a thousand of these "overpowered" creatures. They get stuck in shallows easily and u can poke a lv200 to death with nothing but a primitive spear (if it doesn't break) They have an impossible to miss appearance which is actually farther than its aggro range. Slow swim speed means even a survivor with no speed upgrade can get across any river or channel on the island without getting stung once, at least on mobile. (Tames might get stung in which case run back to them and help them as quickly as u can, a high quality sword or pike can take care of most cnidarias in seconds)

How are these even herbivores and “passive”

These guys are heartless (quite literally) bastards who will kill every dino you have and then stay there waiting for you to jump in the water to get your stuff back

I think the ark devs should nerf these guys the paralyzing is just too op and kinda defeats the purpose of the whole game if there’s one bizarre op creature swimming around.

If you are gonna have a mosasaurus for a new tame, just be warned, these guys will kill it within a short span of time, so I suggest having other water tames to help protect your mosa that of which can’t be killed so instantly (my strategy) such as a megalodon.

After I was done hunting I had to cross a river to return home and these guys killed my favorite dilo and it was over for my tame :(

You can lure them to shore by standing a little ways in the water (deep enough that they start to drift towards you) and when they're close, back out and shoot/stab them. This way you can harvest biotoxins without getting yourself or tames killed from their shock attack.

Turrets and Plant X will NOT shoot at them so be careful, best way to kill them is with a crossbow.

I hate them but when you have a good crossbow and a fast dolphin they are no threat if you watch out

How to kill a cnidaria : find a pack of cnidaria swim near them and they will follow you maybe they hit you one or two times but ok get them with you at the no - deep waters and go to the beach cnidaria will can ' t escape and at the right time get your pickaxe and destroy them

I am killing these guys for bio toxin an unknowingly I went near them then they attacked me my dinos were in neutral they went to attack these blue blood electric jellies I ran away I turned and saw that those electric shocke were killing my turtle and Para but whistled so they ran to me.I got angry on those jellies and killed those friends jellies.

And #1 reason why I had to tame a basilosaurus asap. My sea pickle kills these and gathers so much toxin for me to make mroe toxic arrows. Gonna take another basilosaurus cuz they are cute and OP
