Easy to kill if they're really near to the shore. Just quickly hit it once or be close to it then run to land. It will try to swim at you but it'll just kill itself as it comes up to land.

I wouldn’t recommend going after these guys unless you have some kind of bow. Once you do get a bow, shoot them from a distance where they can’t get you and shooting them is easy, you can walk up to their bodies once you kill them, take your arrows back and harvest it, but if there’s more than one I would get them all before taking the arrows/harvesting.

If you want to kill these things you can lure it up to the shore.it can't kill you there. You can punch it without getting killed.try yourselves.
