These guys are like wildcard... lucky

I found two of these in the swamp. I got my beer and tamed a level 1 chalico. Couldn’t find the other one so that’s why I Went with the level one (an alpha rex murked a whole ecosystem with some high level chalicos). At level 3 the boulder hit at 181 damage. Anyway, here’s how to tame one

Step one: make beer (alcahol, yay). first get some barrels (or just one like me cus I’m broke, blame the rhyagnitha for that one) then connect the barrel to a water source and put some thatch and berries in there (you need 40 thatch and just get a crap ton of berries) wait and BOOM alcahol (chalico is so real)

Step 2: murder some ducks (Hesperornis or penguins if you are in the snow, where the chalico also lives). Kill the bird’s to get organic polymer to make ghillie suit (so you don’t get poop thrown at you, the wild ones throw poop)

Step 3: find one (pretty self explanatory). Find one in the snow or at the beach. Sometimes at the edge of the swamp aswell.

Step 4: sneak up to the chalicos butt and get it drunk(also pretty self explanatory) make sure you are sneaking and always stay behind it. It will get angry and it will kill you. Pretty moody cows am I right (how is this idiot qualified?) step five: have fun throwing rocks at things it’s fun). Yeah it throws rocks that do a lot of damage. Reminder, it’s vegetarian (it eats veggies or greens if you are so inclined) so it’s not a omnivore (eats anything, especially bugs) like the mega variant (megatherium if your wondering). Have fun with this rock throwing turret cow? It’s very cool. the alcoholic rock thrower is awesome (do ya mind if you, ya know)

Use their boulders after you pump melee and theyll do loads of damage!

uh the cow eats the whole beer jar instead of just the beer plus they can eat berries when tamed

To tame a chalicotherium with stimberries on official rates at level 35 it would take around 2800 stimberries and aproximately 13 hours and 40 minutes and 41 seconds. I don’t know what to do with this information.

To the person who said it not tameable that’s not true it is and non-violent taming means that you don’t knock it out not that it won’t hurt you and give it beer and don’t touch it or get to close or you will die

I don't know any ways of trapping the chelicotheiriam but I do know you can scream f*** it and run past it giving it a beer as you pass. 🐂🍻🏃 ~Gheppie

Men tame these with stimberries and no soothing balm

There’s a 10 minute delay after the first feeding. Then the feeding intervals given are correct.

Remember always tame this thing carefully and don't go too much close it it

They are bugged on ps4 atm. You feed once and it doesnt want to eat again and slowly loses health

I am currently playing version 1.0 on PS4, and it does not let me feed a wild Chalicotherium Beer Jars. I have tried multiple times with them, both while they were unaware of my presence and also while they were painting my face with “dirt clods.” I even tried dropping Beer Jars on the ground. Nothing works. All I can think is that it’s because of my game version. Will probably try with a Ghillie suit and while riding a Scorpu just to be sure.

It can be tamed with stim berries,but be prepared to be their a couple days.

For those who are considering dododex for taming.

For lvl30 it says 6 bear jars but I have tamed it with only 3jars ,no soothing balms I have used . Just don't go too close it ,or it will start attacking you and will take more jars to tame it.

Don’t get to close to these or they’ll attack you also They like beer With beer it takes awhile but To craft bear takes berry’s thatch in a beer barrel and put Water jars and Wait about 1 hour Again DONT get to close or you screwed up

If u on multiplayer just put 300 berries and about 300 thatch in beer barrel leave it overnight then u got enough beer to tame use ghillie suit to make it easier —sly gold

You got your beer, your Ghillie suit great! These are pretty easy to tame, however it’s not them you need to worry about it...It’s the things around them you need to worry about.
