Okay I'M going to actually settle the poop vs rocks thing. When they throw poop at you, you get a debuff that is literally called "poop hit". And to the person who said "they throw snow in arctic areas", it's poop. They scooped it from the snow, so they throw some snow too, but you get a poop debuff and you get an icky looking screen overlay.

P.s. Super easy tame, but can take some time and it's a little frustrating if you don't have a taming pen
