Tips & Strategies

What are tips for chalicotherium? Tips and strategies for chalicotherium in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Chalicos spawn all over the map, so don't limit your search to the snow biomedical. The best way to tame on is to lead it into a trap, leave to lose aggro, then return in full ghillie with pillars. Pillar around the Chali so it cannot move, the just stand next to it and feed it beer! This way of taming also allows you to keep a friendly dino nearby to hold the bear and protect you while taming. Once tamed, a chalico has 3 attacks: a sweeping stationary attack that can harvest berries (left click), a running bite attack that can harvest berries (c), and a rock throw that can harvest meat even at a distance (right click). The rock throw inflicts a poison that increases hunger on the target you are fighting.
The ark mobile say's that the creature kibble gives all dinos same nutrition but this MF doesn't eat kibbles it wants to get drunk
Quick explanation for the chalico's attacks:
Melee attack #1: The chalico swipes at you with its claws for 36 damage
Melee attack #2: The chalico headbutts/bites you for 32 damage
The chalico will also repeatedly use these 2 melee attacks in alternating order
Mud throw: The chalico scoops mud or snow if you are in a snowy area from the ground then throws it at you and if it hits you it does 10 damage then gives you an effect that decreases your health and increases your torpidity and prevents any heals from working until the effect wears off
Rock throw: The chalico picks up a boulder that it spawned from thin air then throws it (tamed chalicos only can use this) and if it hits a living creature it will deal 100 damage, this attack can also damage stone at a 1x multiplier so it will do 100 damage.
How come nobody has ever told me that these throw poop?
Oh wow... I just learned that Chalis can be tamed with beer. They are achoholics.
I absolutely hate this fat overgrown mutant horses do not encounter, I repeat do not encounter not passive.
Oh HELL. This thing is scary. When it comes to this game, I am a wimp. You see, I tried to tame it with stimberries, but a bit after I fed it the first Berry, this jerk turned around and attacked me! So I did the smart thing. I RAN. I ran home, and somehow managed to survive. These things are BRUTES.
To tame it you get three beer bottles, put the in your hot bar, (I suggest you bring an animal that can fly so you don’t die) run towards it give it a bottle then run away, when it wants some more then you ran at it again give it some beer then run away. Repeat this one more time and you have a dirt flingin gorilla cow.
THEY DONT THROW POOP ITS MUD IN THE SNOW THEY WILL THROW THE SNOW IT JUST GETS IN UR EYES AND SLOWS U DOWN BECAUSE U CANT SEE DONT LISTEN TO THE POOP THEORY
Never feed it stimberrys it will only get 0.1 without a balm
THE FIRST RULE IS DONT GET CLOSE IT WILL BECOME VERY HOSTILE
The concerning thing is that they eat the jar that the beer was in too
You can trap dis doods it cant damage stone gateway and reinforced gate....
