If you knock it out and somehow it gets hit after knowvkout. U have to do the mini game on the three heads again.
More Cerberax Taming & KO Tips
The Cerberax is a 3 (technically 4) part tame. When you knock it out, one of the three heads will pop up and be able to be ridden. You will have to repeat this process 2 more times before tranqing it a final time to allow the normal feeding process. When successfully completing a task the Cerberax should launch you off its head and roar, giving you time to flee.
The lightning head will have you play a minigame where you must keep a slider over an arrow and keep doing so to fill a bar.
The fire head marks a target for you to kill, each kill giving a % of your bar (not sure what affects this).
The poison head will require you to feed it, seemingly accepting the food from your last hotbar slot. You can only feed when the head begins to turn and snap at you.
Once you’ve completed each head, the final knockout will be a regular feed. Good luck!
Once the Cerberax comes out, it will be a three-part taming process. You will need to do a different things for each of the three heads to gain their “trust”. First you will need to shoot it with tranqs until it only has the energy to use one of its heads.
The first head will require you to mount it and then follow the provided movement instructions to wear down its energy.
The second head will want food so likely prime meat, mutton, and a higher tear kibble will be the best.
The third head wants to hunt so fighting and killing wild creatures will be required. As of right now I don’t know if it will mark the creatures it wants you to kill or if you just need to fight anything you can find.
Once tamed, it should be able to be mounted by three players, one for each head. One person will have control of the central head and most likely the body/movement controls. Two other players will be able to mount it and control one of the two other heads.
I believe that this will be a great new addition to the game however it will cost you $10 before you can actually tame it.
For anyone wondering about the different taming games for the three heads.
Poison: Feed the head as it bites to fill its bar, extraordinary kibble works best
Fire: It will mark different creatures near you, kill enough of them to fill the bar
Lightning?: The middle one requires you to play a game where you control a bar and have to keep it on the arrow displayed on the taming bar, this arrow will move rapidly, as per the others do this until you fill the bar.
Finally you just knock it out a 4th and final time. (You have to knock it out 3 times prior when you are initiating the minigames)
Here is everything I know about the Cerberax. The Cerberax is a creature with three heads and a respective element on each of its head. The three heads act separately from one another, but can be master controlled by one person from the main seat. The taming process consits of gaining the respect of each head. The poison head needs you to feed it as it goes to bite you off its back. The lightning head needs you to play a minigame where you keep the sliding bar overlapped the arrow that slides across the bar. And the fire head which requires you to kill 3 creatures of its choosing. I recommend avoiding cliffs while taming it because if you are on the fire head, it can track enemies on a cliff that you cannot reach. To tame each head, you have to knock the Cerberax out with tranqs and then go up to it, once you have done that one of its heads will go up. The head that goes up is the one you tame first, this to my knowledge is completely random so be prepared for any of the taming games. Once you have gained the respect of every head you can now knock it out one last time and tame it like a normal KO tame. Now the abilities all do separate things, but I’m not as well versed in what the abilities actually do as well as I am in the taming process. The fire head does a flame spit attack and then does a flame absorb similar to the pyromane, but instead of healing it gives some sort of buff for damage. Then the poison head has a poison spit attack and also a poison absorb which does a rebuff to damage on the opposing creature. To do the absorb attacks you have to first fill up the debuffs on the creature you are fighting to 5 which will be shown on only the creature you are attacking. Once they reach 5 you can do the absorb. Now the lightning is kind of confusing so I may be wrong, but the lighting changes what the absorb abilities do. It changes the poison absorb to a heal similar to the pyromane flame absorb heal, but I’m not sure what the flame absorb boosted with lightning does.
When trying to feed the Poison head press the interact key as if you were trying to access a Dino’s inventory to feed it. It takes extraordinary kibble as the best taming food as well
After you play all the mini games for each head, you have to knocked it out again then you feed it kibble.
When you fully knock out Cerberax, you have to feed it extraordinary kibble not exceptional kibble. Someone told me exceptional and it’s not it.
Taming:
Tranq it.
Mount the awake head.
The middle head wants a mini game.
The fire head wants to be led to things to kill, then kill the marked one.
The poison head wants fed from your last slot when prompted.
Once all three heads have been satisfied (green check marks), tranq it again and feed it kibble or meat.
You have to knocked it out 3 times one for each head, once it’s knocked out one of the heads is going to be awake you have get close to mount it and do whatever it asks then once completed you knock out again till all 3 heads are tamed. Then knock it out one more time to officially tame it with kibble.
