Dododex needs to update this. The castoroide can be Carried by an Argentavis. I just carried one using an Argentavis to my base to tame.

Eassyy wood hack, build a triangular pen with 3 STONE dino dino gateway and reinforced doors on each of them( make sure they are stone so as to take zero damage from beaver raging)

lead beavers into them (personally I used a argy to carry them in), and wah lah free wood and precious resource once in awhile

Make sure u leave enough space for u to fit thru to access its nest.

DO NOT TAME THEM, tamed beavers don’t produce nests

The wild beavers don’t have to be near a water body to produce nest btw, I have 2 wild beavers trapped on a hill far from river and they still produce fine.

Me favorite way to loot the dams without dying is to get a high weight argie and put it right next to a dam then stay in the middle so you can access both from where you stand go into the dam the beavers won’t get mad until you take stuff then transfer all get on your argie and fly up fast. Also the beavers can’t fly. Then fly somewhere high up and drop the wood and do it again if you want the wood I would store it because if your Argie gets encumbered you can only lift of the ground and they will wait for you to run out of stamina and you’ll die I suggest having a weight of 1k just to be safe.

In ark mobile, u can move a beaver to another area and it It will make dams. Just did it yesterday

Grab them with an argy and put them in your nearest lake

You can steal there stuff on mobile by tapping and holding on the dam and double tapping the item and pressing transfer

Put them into a gated off river and they will build a dam and easy cementing paste

Hard to tame (need kibble) and has a oxygen stat after taming so it's harder to use as a collector for people in ocean bases. Tamed ones should be able to craft dams periodically😭

this creature can take on sarcho capro titanoboa and many more even a spino or carno if you alot of them dont hurt a single beaver.

Do you feel like they should produce cementing paste like a bee hive

I once had a Rex (forgot what level) and I took it over to the dams in valguero and it nearly Died to beavers.

Actually quite good fighters, my rank 20 is able to take out carnos and if you are near water, it can kill a Rex. Also very good transporters because of the weight reduction. I'm planning on getting 4 of them so I can have a squadron.

I literally just used a bow and arrow, some tranqs and kept running backwards while shooting it leading it away from the water.

This little rodent is one of the best harvesters. They can harvest plenty of wood and thatch, berries, etc.. they also have excellent weight. They have decent melee damage, and here is how to get your own.

1. Make the kibble on whatever device your on.

2. Find this very big beaver. They are found around rivers and build dams.

3. Knock it out with tranq darts

4. Feed the kibble and a bunch of berries (use bio toxin to keep unconscious)

5. If tamed, put the saddle on it and take it home.

6, extra information. Wild castorodies have a chance to have black pearls! But be careful, looking in their dam inventory makes them Argo.

They make loot able dams and on average I have gotten 700 wood and at least 100 cementing paste from the dams they make so EZ resources for low level people, just watch out for them after looting the dams! They bite your toes if you do!

There’s only four places on the island they can spawn (check the Dododex creature map) but if you go there you’ll always find some.
